I know I haven't posted anything of substance in nearly a month, but I couldn't pass this up.

The Big Read reckons that the average adult has only read 6 of the top 100 books they've printed.
1) Look at the list and bold those you have read.
2) Italicize those you intend to read.
3) Underline the books you LOVE.
4) Reprint this list in your own LJ so we ( Read more... )

Ah... so what do you think of Libba Bray's books? I really liked them, but part of me is afraid it's just the "I love exciting things" half of me. I was wishing one of my friends would read them and give me an educated opinion! lol!

I love Libba Bray. I think she's a wonderful author. I love the fact that her books are written in present tense, it makes for a fun and exciting read.

I agree that a lot of the reason I like her books is because they are a fun rollercoaster ride of excitement, but I don't think that there is anything wrong with that being the reason for enjoying a book!

I'm just about finished with rebel angels and can't wait to start the 3rd one! She's created such lovable, real, and enduring characters. I hope she writes more!

I love her characterizations! The characters are always the biggest part of a book to me; I can never like a book too much if it doesn't have well-rounded, real characters. Libba Bray did such a great job with that, and I too hope that she writes more.

The third one is so good... when I got to the end I couldn't put it down. It has a tearjerker ending, and I was reading on the school bus, so I'm sitting there trying to hold in the tears so everyone doesn't think I'm an idiot for crying over a book. lol!

I found I had read more books in the first 50 than the last 50 on the list. Many i had never even heard of!
