"From the tip of every branch, like a fat purple fig, a wonderful future beckoned and winked. One fig was a husband and a happy home and children, and another fig was a famous poet and another fig was a brilliant professor, and another fig was Ee Gee, the amazing editor..."

Is it not?

I cannot see a world without Cedric as being anything but horrible.

But thank you for your input, Michael. I do miss you.

But I thought Cedric came back. He was talking in Dumbledore's post. Isn't that a miracle, or proof that the world isn't as bad as it seemed?

I miss you too sortof.

Cedric was cruelly snatched away (passive, I know!), and tossed back in this chaotic mess. Do you think that the hastily done good outweighs the bad? I am willing to admit that maybe the world isn't quite so horrible, but I remain convinced it's really not so pleasant.

I hope you are well, Michael. I think I ought to sleep, now.
