Not a Christian gobble-dee-gook but.... anonymous May 8 2006, 03:47:58 UTC
I think that scientists are pushing it a bit far when they are mixing animals together (what's next part human part animal mix - I'm sure this is already taking place anyway). Also, pigs are being created to make omega 3 fatty acids and grapes have spider cells in their skin now - you know - plantimals. It's pretty gross and although religion can be a bit wacky in it's own way, science can be too. There needs to be a balance of morality and scientific advances. After all, scientists are just as responsible for the crap in the world as fundamentalist religious ideologies are - just in different ways.

P.S. have you ever seen The Corporation?

Have you ever read a book?
Being "gross" isn't a real objection to anything. Ever see a chicken coop?

So... there was no "crap" in the world before 500 BC? Last time I cheacked, Science is responsible for the entirety of modern medicine. It's responsible for industrial production, and if you don't think that's a benefit you're out of your mind.

Ok FREAK!

Don't get your dirty undies in a knot. Sure there was Crap before 500BC, I didn't say nothing good came from science. I think you make too many assumptions over a few lines of text from an anonymous poster. We live in a world of relativity, so of course there is both positive and negative aspects to science as well as religion. What are you Pollyanna or something? I think you're out of your mind for getting so antsy over my comment. Yah Science is also responsible for suicide seeds, so if you think I'm "out of my mind" because I can see that there are negative outcomes from industrialization then you've got to clean out your ears and open up your eyes to reality.

Either you are just in the mood to argue about bullshit, or you are simply an angry person inside who is so unstable you quote people and bitch at them to vent your misery. Maybe I'm your reflection!

Yeah, Ratzy, I know what you mean.

I hate it when those scientists play god, creating universes all over the place. Frankly, it's annoying.

I didn't even really pay attention to the science bit, I think that's pretty friggin cool. Cyborg genenome soldiers and plants that produce pre-cooked chicken breasts! Mmmm!

I was more interested in the moral decline of our society helped along by Satanists. A broken-up family and the human refuge it produces is a terrible thing, I would liken it to a modern chicken coop.

What is morality? If my morals aren't the same as your morals am I immoral?

I certainly don't hold the same morals as my mother. She thinks I don't have good morals, but I think my morals are better than hers as she does things I'd clearly state as being immoral (like giving huge conglomerate companies her money to buy their chemicals to clean her bathroom while polluting mother earth without thinking twice about the consequences or effects of her actions, as one example). I'd have to say it's one's opinion and perspective caused by all his past experiences (what one learns and is taught as right or wrong which one then bases their choice of what is moral or immoral)
