Various Ramblings from the sidelines

Replying to an earlier thread:

Where do I want to be in 10 years? Wow. Safely nested in a lover's arms?

Writing--73K one work and 62K the other. Next month I am doing a July Mini-NaNo so I hope to finish one of the pieces.

You?

Tons happening all summer long for me. I seem to be overbooked already with the family functions. We will see.

In 10 years? Well, being President looks kinda fun. However I'm sure my LJ entries would come back to haunt me, in that regard.

Guess I need to find some more realistic goals.

If you don't really know where you want to be in ten years, then the next two or three have no signicance. As for me, where I'll be in ten years depends on how people look at the revolution themselves. My embarkation started a long time ago, and the truth be told, it took me a while to figure out what I was supposed to do. The BPP and the revolution are it, even if I die for it. I'm going to start posting things again, and it all has to do with the BPP and the revolution and what they're both all about. It's just a matter of removing them from my head and onto paper or electronic media.

The revolution started today, where do you want to be in ten years?

And I am getting better at that. Besides work and school, I've been coming up with a lot of things philosophically, and with aforementioned stuff I will be posting I will be putting that up for display. The novel itself is up to 376k, (228 pages!!!) but I'm hoping to finish it by the end of summer since I haven't been able to work on it due to work and school.

Cool, I like you are still focused Brian. While I am lacking a specific focus I retain my desires to continue to write and enjoy loved ones.

(Preview of stuff to come.) After you read this, think about it, and tell yourself what it really means to you.

What is the truth as you know it? Is it really the truth, or is it facts, or is it something you perceive? The truth in and of itself does not exist. There is nothing true in this world because truth, as we are taught from a young age, is immutable, and there is nothing in this world that is such a thing. This does not mean that truth does not exist nor does it mean that every person is a liar, it just means that a person does not tell the 'truth', they simply state a belief. What most people fail to realize is that belief, in your own mind, becomes truth, because your mind makes your beliefs immutable. So, in effect, belief becomes a form of truth, and the more people that believe this 'truth', the more real it becomes, even though your belief may be flawed.

Brian, I have always operated under the idea that truth is movable and removable. I know what I perceive as my personal value system and desires are not what the person next to me would necessarily think worthy. American Dreams are so much a part of how we arrogantly think the world works while three quarters of the planet have an entirely different operating system, as it were. How I see and think is a product of where and when I was born in this world. This creates certain and uncertain truths.
