animated gif user icons

So what proggie do y'all use to make those nifty animated user icons with personalized text? Just curious, because I wonder how much work it is to make one. I'm still perfectly happy with my current icon but in the future I may want to experiment with different icons.

GIFsicle. There's a DOS version that does pretty much everything you want. Sometimes I optimise the resulting GIF with SuperGIF if it's too big.

I use Animation Shop from Paint Shop Pro. But actually any program which can create .gif files will do.
