OK... It's well after new year's but it is time to make a resolution to start using livejournal more regularly. At this point I've not updated for over a year and there are definitely things that I should have posted about (such as Italy and Germany, The Janet Arnold Conference, 12th night, Estrella, etc. So Rather than try to go back and fix ( Read more... )

I would love to see photos of your chairs! I'm looking for a happy back solution that is more period than my perioide next gen directors chair....

I'll probably post pictures when I get home. I've got parts cut and largely prepared for 4 chairs right now, so I'll be finishing and assembling them once I get a chance after getting home, so I'll take some photos. I'm also planning on writing up the plans and making them generally available, as half the point of doing things in the SCA is to share!

The source in question is referred to by a number of my friends as the Mispronounski Bible. Can't argue with that :-)

I am glad you are dealing with the margarita/guacamole/lovely weather angst. Into every life a little woohoo must fall. Be brave, be strong. And I can't wait to see the chairs!

It's good to hear from you again as well! We missed you at 12th Night... At this point I've got 9 chairs already on my list, as I'm making them for pretty much everyone I camp with, as well as a couple for prizes for Egil's this year. Once I've worked out the details I'll figure out if I want to make any more or not. There are also a couple of other period styles I'm looking at playing with as well. so we might be able to work something out...

That's a pretty good way to remember it, actually... I did spell it correctly then; I just wasn't sure.
