Now for the real question -- what was the name of the guy who wrote that really cool cookbook (I need the title as well) you were showing me back when we stayed at your house a couple of weeks back? You know, you had a bunch of his DVDs (what was the name of the program again?) and I asked about his "road food" show -- Eating on Asphalt. (See, my memory isn't *totally* gone, just *mostly*.)

Googling for "That guy that Alex told me about" isn't getting me anywhere.

Hi! Good to hear from you! The guy's name is Alton Brown. He has two shows on Food Network: Good Eats (his regular cooking show) and Feasting on Asphalt (I think this technically was a special for this last summer). His cookbooks have the titles "I'm Just here for the Food" which focuses on cooking and "I'm just Here for more food" which focuses on baking. Both are excellent resources. I'll definitely be at Kingdom A&S this year and Fearga has convinced me to enter my blackwork shirt as a single entry. I'm really looking forward to it!
