steve irwin died. he was killed by a goddamned stingray on a dive.

i always joked he would die on an adventure. i didn't know it was actually going to happen. goddammit. now i feel like a jerk.

this is pretty sad for his wife and two kids.

I just read about that... the sad part is that he probably would have had no anger towards the singray, he would understand it. But what always happens with shit like that is that the surviving people hunt down whatever animal it was that kill a man and kill it, when really that is the last thing someone like the Croc Hunter would want to come of their death.

Not that I think they are going to go harpooning for stingray, or have heard anything of the "man-eating ray" sort, but it just reminded me that that always happens. When I get mauled by a bear or eaten by a shark, don't let them kill the thing. And unless the creature crawled into my bedroom window or stalked me on my way home, don't let them give you that "he has a taste for human now" crap.

He lasted a long time considering all his adventures, you gotta give him that.
