Opening Credits:
"I'm not that girl" by the OBC of Wicked: The Musical - these are sad opening credits - like one big "Missed Connections" but acted out on a big screen. I just see me, looking sadly at someother couple. :( Start the movie. . .
Waking Up:
"University of Oregon fight song" by the Marching Band - haha - technically, if someone calls me early in the morning, this is the song that would wake me up, since it is the ringer on my phone. I've got spirit, yes I do! But, I digress. This scene would be me, mechanically going through the motions of getting ready. (In front of a lot of screaming fans filling Autzen stadium)
First Day At School:
"Blue Shoes" by Katie Melua- I guess this would be a continuation of the opening credits. I'd be dragging my feet to campus, sad about being lonely, and not wanting to be in class. And of course, given the mood of the song, I would end up sitting behind the previously-mentioned couple in class. But. . .attractive male half of the couple would have to be in my next class. . .
Falling In Love:
"The first cut is the deepest" Sheryl Crow - Here I am, explaining my life to cute boy, and explaining how I am sad. I am lonely, and get stuck watching the happy couple everywhere. Since, according to my iTunes movie soundtrack, that is how the movie of my life is ending up. Sad, lonely, and watching cute boy from afar.
Breaking Up:
"Fill me in" by Craig David - Cute boy's girlfriend's parents won't leave them alone!! He gets annoyed at them, and happy couple break up. I take this opprotunity to be an understanding friend, and then I point out that I live in the Res Halls, away from my parents. Ooohh...
Prom:
"In the end" by Linkin Park - I love this as a Prom song! (Because apparently U of O has a prom. Hm) In this scene - I am getting ready for the prom, and being happy. I didn't go to prom in high school - or any real dance for that matter. So - this prom is a chance to redo that, and have a good time with Cute Boy. I'm happy.
Life's Ok:
"Austin" by Blake Shelton. So it's a few months down the road, and cute boy and I are a happy couple. The kind of couple that does bowling together, and sits at the date tables in Carson Dining. That kind of couple. We're happy kids. Then, in the spirit of this song, Cute Boy's ex calls him and leaves a message on his cell phone, saying that she loves him. "PS, My heart is still yours. . .if this is Austin. . .and I still love you"
Mental Breakdown:
"Fortunate Son" by CCR. Wow - good breakdown song...I guess. I think this means that instead of a traditional breakdown I turn super defient. I burn my prom dress and all the pictures of us. Drunk Dial cute boy and ramble about how I am over him, and hate him. I remain stubborn, and refuse to talk about Cute boy to other people, and shut down inside.
Driving:
"I've got you under my skin" by Frank Sinatra. So - as part of the breakdown, I decide that it would be a good idea to drive to Cute Boy's house just to show him how over him I am. On the way over, Frank comes on the radio, and I realize that I love Cute Boy, and am not over him. I detour on the way there and stop at the park by Autzen to think.
Flashback:
"Sister Suffragette" from the Mary Poppins Soundtrack. As I sit on the Autzen footbridge thinking, I think about scenes from the beginning of the movie. How I fixed the Prom memories, and made strides to be happy, and about Cute Boy, who I see on the bridge thinking too!
Getting Back Together:
"Friendship Test" By Tenacious D - Cute Boy's old girlfriend failed this test. So - he gives the test to me, with flying colors. We realize that we are destined to be the new happy couple. So - we get back together.
Birth of Child:
"God Help the outcasts" from the Hunchback of Notre Dame. Yeah - this is going to be a deleted scene, on the DVD extras. So - I can't talk about it.
Wedding Scene:
"Thoroughly Modern Millie" from Thoroughly Modern Millie. So we go to my friend Emily Church's wedding, and cheer for her. As a cute couple. However, after the wedding Cute Boy starts talking about our future. I freak out, and declare that I want to be Thoroughly Modern, and try living on my own. Which leads to...
Final Battle:
"The Numa Numa song" Um. Let's try this one again.
"Sittin on the dock of the bay" by Otis Redding. Ok - we walk along the beach, and make peace with being apart. We decide to take a break (Like Ross and Rachel) and decide that we will reunite on the beach a year later. And be a couple again.
Death Scene:
"The Best Deceptions" by Dashboard. So our break is interrupted by the news of the death of Cute Boy's original girlfriend. Apparently they hook up up during our break, but she cheats on him, so he breaks up with her, because that makes him sad, and he still misses me. Shortly after this, she dies. I hear this, and travel back for the funeral.
Funeral Song:
"Fuck her gently" by Tenacious D. Maybe not the best funeral song. Do over!
"Make the world go away" by Eddy Arnold - Aw, this is a good song. We realize how meant to be together we are, and we reunite, and fall back in love, and end the break. Early.
End Credits:
"It's my life" by Bon Jovi. AWESOME ending song. We all live happily ever after. Like Tommy and Gina.
This is a crafty way to do a nano prompt! Too bad I already know what I am going to do...
