i'm no expert.. but i think you just plug it in to charge it? and it probably does charge a little faster when it's off because it's not being used so the battery can save up... but i think you just charge it like you would a cell phone or something.. just plug it in and wait til it's done...? good luck!

thats what i do...its really weird. ill plug it in and ive been out of this house(my moms house) for a week now and its been charging since then , so when i got home today it was 100 and now its at 31 and ive only used it for about an hour total all day.

apparently the battery is only supposed to last a few hours, maybe 3 or 4.

i really don't know though; i don't have a laptop.

You have to leave the computer on with the plug in.

neither do i but when im on...it always dies it will beep and beep and then finally it just shuts off.
