Mom told me that after she called to tell him, he hung up very abruptly. I took that as an indication that he was very upset. I think he'd be like most of us right now... either in denial/shock, or very upset and just waiting until nobody's around to cry. When I was at the hospital with grandma and mom, I shed a few tears, but I didn't really start sobbing until I was in my car driving home ( ... )

We're flying out Tuesday morning and leaving Wednesday night. My dad has a closing on Thursday and my mom has to work on Thursday too so we can't stay or else we would. We're flying back out the first week of August because my dad is going to his high school reunion and we're all going to hang out with his friend's families but I don't know if we'll visit Grandma when we're down there ( ... )

Probably none of my business.... xrayrich2000 July 8 2005, 07:24:22 UTC
But my father had a very similiar reaction when my little sister died in a car accident a few years ago.

I think fathers believe it is there "job" to be the sturdy backbone and support the family. My friends keep telling me that my father will come around, it's been 3 years and I can't really talk to him about Robyne without feeling really really horrible like I'm physically hurting him. There's more but I dunno if it's appropriate, anyway I don't know you and you don't know me. (changable)

I'm just looking up random (I think they are random) live journals. If you want to talk or need advice or anything, I'm just a few clicks away.
