Don't let her have that over you. Tell her that you're making this choice as an adult and you need her to respect that, and she doesn't have to like him, (this is the part where you plug "he's so good to me because____________________" in there) but she should at least try to be civil.
DO NOT RAISE YOUR VOICE when you're talking to her about this. That is messy and no good at all. Have this conversation without other people around. Perhaps while you're eating dinner or watching TV together. Start out with the classic "Mom, we need to talk" which will be followed with "Are you pregnant" and a "no" and so on. Or, elminate all that poop and say "mom, we need to talk about (whatever his name is)". Once she keeps eye contact, try really hard to not break that or the even tone of your voice until you're done explaining your side of the story. AVOID SAYING YOU'RE IN LOVE WITH HIM. TELL HER YOU LIKE HIM A LOT. Then let her give you hers. Try and reach an agreement, and you're ( ... )
