On Monday, the father of one of my high school friends suddenly died.  My friend's mother is in the hospital.  Nothing official has been reported, but it's suspected that they suffered carbon monoxide poisoning from their water heater.  He was only 62 years old.  His new baby granddaughter will grow up never knowing him

Carbon monoxide poisoning sucks. I had a bad case of it as a child. We have a detector. Technically, its the law. I am sorry to hear of your friend's loss. I hope her mother recovers well, carbon monoxide can have similiar side effects as a stroke.
