Hello again! It is me, the "my dear" anonymous:) I am absolutely thrilled to see a new chapter, and it is amazing, as is the rest of the story! I loved it:) It gave such a beautiful and detailed insight into what Sherlock is going through. Well done! I could barely stop myself from squeling when I saw our favourite bad boy make an appearance, even if it's only via messages. Oooh, and what a cliffy! There's just one thing I would like to know and that is - is Jim targeting poor John now because he wants to punish Sherlock or because he was always jelaous of their friendship? Personally, I would say both are valid reasons..He is just so deliciosly disturbed..
Thank you once again for a really good chapter! Take care, my dear:)

John! Nooooooooooooooooo! :O:O:O

It's ok, I will slip Moran some magic muffins so that all he will be able to see after he eats them is rainbows and dancing unicorns. Hopefully then, he won't be able to focus his sniper gun properly on John Watson XD.

Another intriguing chapter from you! You have a real knack for building up the suspense brilliantly and getting us readers to want to throw something at the computer for the evil cliffhangers you leave us with each time hahaha :P. Looking forward to Sherlock's next move :).

P.S. I've actually experienced sleep paralysis before. I guess it tends to happen when I'm really tired and feels really weird not being able to move. When I realise it's happening to me, I just tell my brain "might as well let me go back to sleep properly mate" :P. Has it happened to you before? ;)

Mmmmm magic muffins, what's the secret ingredient? :D

Oh, god, when I wrote the cliffhanger I was pretty much just ahh, no, I can't leave it there. They will find me, and they will skinnnnnn me.

Initially chapters 8 and 9 were going to be just ONE chapter, but I had to split it in two due to length and content. I still needed to conclude the chapter with the premise of the next one, though, so lo, a cliffhanger was borne :D

At least next chapter's going to be fairly interesting in terms of plot proceeding, if the writing will go to plan and I won't have to split the chapter again. Guh.

Oh and yeah, I did get sleep paralyses loads of time when I was in the army. Back then, interval sleeping was all the rage, so I was pretty much stressed and tired all the time. I saw all sorts of weird crap, like ghosts and monsters, but by then I was sort of already familiar with it. I always KNEW that I was still dreaming, so it pissed me off more than anything. \O/

I really like what you're doing here; how awkward all the relationships still are. And I appreciate that what you're doing with John's thoughts must've been a tough write, but it's honest, I think -- not just because he's likely to have a certain set of assumptions about rape given his background, but also because it's very human for him not to want to see Sherlock as a victim, so that he doesn't feel any worse than he already does about his own anger.

And, damn, evil ending! Will be awaiting the next part eagerly.

Hello there :) So sorry for the cliff hanger, really, I am. This is the result of having to split chapter eight into two due to both content and length. I had to conclude the chapter with a little preview of what's to come, as well as some hints as to what is really happening. I do enjoy the suspense though :)

My God, John, John is... difficult. You are right that it's part prejudice on his part, part reluctance to see Sherlock as a victim.

He did spend the last three years coping with the memory of Sherlock which he hyped up to be bigger than life - that's what we *do* to the people we love after death - so all of a sudden getting hints and trying to come to terms with a Sherlock who's been "weak" (and here John's perceptions are coming into play again, obviously) that's just unacceptable.

Whelp. It's getting kind of late and I'm already sleep deprived. I hope the above made some sort of sense. I <3 meta.

Thanks a lot for your lovely feedback :)
