listen to the new SMAP's album: super modern artistic performance.
they rock! A little slow I know, but I was trying to listen over and over again and have a maintained impression of it. I tend to digress/get swayed easily.
and no, they're not old at all. They're just ... matured.
Hey, if you thought that Johnny Depp, George Clooney, Brad Pitt and Robert Downing Jr. are hot/sexy/adorable/attractive/youwannaeatthemoffthetable, try 5 Japanese guys idols who are already past 30 but still looked like they're in their 20s. Heck, Nakai+Takuya looked better than guys like ... Akame. Heh.Japanese guys. Sigh. They seriously age well.

1. Theme Of 019 super.modern.artistic.performance
- haha, usually I don't give a damn about their theme. But this theme... Fuuh. It screamed I'M BACK BABY! to the fans all around the world. I don't blame them, after 2 years of no album, this is almost a miracle.
2. Kono Toki, Kitto Yume Jyanai
- Sigh. I love love love this single. Whenever I'm feeling down, I know this song will definitely perk me up. Somehow, Nakai's voice here sounds ... sexy. LOL. Or maybe I'm just feeling biased.
3. Jazz
- True, very Jazz-yish sound. The title is 100% appropriate for the song. If I know how to dance *yes, I don't have any dancing bone in me. at all*, I'll totally dance to the beat of the chorus. The last time I had this impression was with their song Dear WOMAN. Love love their voice here as a group. very smoothhhh.
4. Love Loser
- When the song starts, I seriously thought it'll be rock-ish and totally heartbreaking (something like TOKIO) but I was wrong. I like the chorus!!! KANG KANG TSUYOKU~ hahaha. Why does it remind me of Bang Bang Bakansu?? I'm just a love loser ~~~
5. Anata no Tame ni Dekiru koto
- SMAP would not be SMAP without their ballads. Hmm, honestly, I had to force myself to repeat this song over and over again till I finally could admit that yes, I love the song. It's a little slow for me initially, and thus, only when I'm feeling down or in serious need of super slow and sad song, this will be it. I like tsuyoshi and goro's voices in here though. I doubt I need to say anything about Takuya's. He nailed every slow song I've heard before. His voice ♥ I'm a lil thankful that nakai's voice is absent here. Or issit cause he and shigo does not have any part here? Hmmm..
6. Keep on
- . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . HAHAHAHAHAA! This song! I was laughing and grinning (not stimultaneously of course!) the whole way! Omg SMAP you dorks. Goro trying to be rock-ish with his verses... HAHAA. dont try to walk awayyy~ I like Shingo's rap though. I did wish that takuya was the one who sang the bridge. I wonder how they're gonna perform this song in their concert! It must be very JE-ish! with fireworks everywhere I presume.
7. Mermaid ~album version
- Oh my oh my oh my!!! I've been waiting for this song like forever! Ever since I heard (and watched, albeit painfully) it on Music Station, I've been hoping and praying they'll release it on their next single. Imagine my excitement when I got to know it is included in this album! No doubt, this song is very pop-ish and bubble-ish, *not to mention very SMAP-ishg at times* it is a hip, fun and bright song! Goro's voice in it ... *squeee* I feel like squeezing his cheeks! XD
8. Hitotsu dake no Ai ~ Ave Maria
- Hmm, I think I still need a little bit more time for this one. Neither do I like it nor hate it. It's just... so-so I guess...
9. Hajimari no Uta
- MO CHOTTO MO CHOTTO! It sounds weird I know, but whenever I hear the opening, the images of nutcrackers will always flash in front of my eyes. Hahaha I like the song. Really I do. This is one song I'll like to hear on my headphones and will unconsciously nod my head with the rhythm. It's weird though, that towards the end, the impression I had of this song is that of Hawaii beach. Like how they'll run around on the beach and fire water guns at each other *which I'm sure will be led by their leader* ...
10. Kokoro Pazuru Rizumu
- AHHH THIS SONG! I ABSOLUTELY DIG THIS SONG! I wonder if they'll dance something similar to Perfume's polyrhythm! At first I thought it was like a parody of their song, but i thought, ouh what the heck. the song is FUN! REALLY! I told ya SMAP members are dorks. I guess this is one of the songs for them to show their lighter side :DD why do i keep thinking of their perfume parody on smapxsmap with them in dress and wigs?!?! ^^;

- I've always thought that Shingo's voice is the best when he does slow song, and this song does not fail me. His voice combines with Takuya's = WIN. Just wish Shingo had more part though ): overall not a bad song. It's better than Anata no Tame ni Dekiru koto IMHO. Funnily enough, I can hear nakai's voice loud and clear in the chorus :D ouh don't forget the flute part!!

- ahh this song is so sweet! I could not help but associate this song with their kouhai, Arashi. With the rap and smooth vocals, and with such sweet tittle, it does scream arashi to me in a way. don't skip this song! it will definitely make you smile. or okay, fine, just grin a little. ^^
14. Dou ka Todokimasu you ni
- i know this may sound weird, but sometimes, i totally forget this song exists. ): *bad me* but like one of the other song, I think I still need more time for this song. Takuya's attempt in rap is nicely done though. (((:
