Timing is everything in this. Rory has to work out a time when Amy's out doing something that she probably won't pop in suddenly from, as well as coming up with a plan b in case she does. But he manages to come to the TARDIS at a time when Amy's not there and the Doctor is, knocking on the TARDIS door because he hasn't got a key.

He comes out to the door relatively quickly considering that the TARDIS is like five square miles at minimum, internally. He wasn't really doing a whole lot; not recently anyway. More planning than anything concrete, which tends to mean wandering.

'Rory! Hi! Haven't you.. No I guess you don't. Is something wrong?'

True. Minus Amy, he's not just coming back to sleep, or something.

"Sort of. Not with me but...the whole City thing. Can we go inside, first?"

Just a second's pause, because that's interesting. 'Sure, yeah, come on in.' He moves out of the way to let Rory by.

Doctor, I'm goin' to come on up to your work if you got a bit of down time.

Been talkin' to Mercy 'bout Jack.

[Yeah, the Jack's immortal thing has come up]

Come on up. Just playing with morphic fields.

(13:43)
I mean, I'm not busy. What about Jack again?

(13:44)
Nevermind just tell me when you get here

[Rose was already on her way when she got the Doctor's three texts. She waves at the receptionist and makes her way back to the lab where the Doctor works.]

So this is the cycle thing we were talkin' 'bout? What you're hopin' to be able to store for later, yeah?

I don't even know why I didn't. I know I saw it before falling asleep. am_i_being_rude September 6 2011, 02:52:48 UTC
[He can tell when Rose is coming a few seconds before she opens the door, and continues looking at something through a microscope with his 3D glasses on when she does.] If it works, yes. Given that it feeds off an energy specifically created by an individual under certain circumstances, working out how it interacts with a morphic field and isolating it might be the key to learning how to keep it stored. [He looks up at her.] Good place to start, anyway, since I know more about fields than these cycles.

Arguably anything that has the capability of vasoconstriction and is made of a high enough percentage of water has the capability, provided it isn't suffering topical nerve damage. It's a CNS response following electrolyte imbalance.
