Learning quickly's nearly as good, although the quiet part might not come to too much fruition - I like a good conversation while I'm working.

Nothing. I didn't do-- I'm not doing anything - not a thing... Well, not exactly nothing. But it's definitely not a something, by any means. Nothing to get concerned about or interested in, certainly. And, even if there was a something - which there isn’t, not really - it’s definitely not my fault.

[He is amused by the tone but doesn't call attention to it.] I'm working on the power supply to the flat. It needs to be a bit higher for me to work with what I want to work with, so. And... The disposal earlier. But mostly the Adiposian energy system. They're grrreat! you can get exponential return on the wattage we've already got, and it'll keep the power bill low. [He's excited.]

[Yes, Doctor. That was that loud enough to wake up Rose who does sleep. Usually. At least as much as any human. She wanders into the room wearing a pair of pajama bottoms and a tank. She yawns and wanders up to the desk, tilting her head sideways.]

What're buildin'?

[Oh, he wasn't expecting her to wake up. Damn that was louder than he thought. He gives her an apologetic look and then launches in:] Well... I'm working on increasing the energy we get in the flat. Save some money - we need chairs. Donna won't sit on that bed, we both know it - working out how to replicate the things I need for it to work because I can't go get them. [He stops. Turns. Looks at her and grins a little bit. Then looks guilty.] Oh, and the disposal broke. Well, I broke it, but I fixed it! So it's fine now.

What're you doing up? S'fine, you can sleep. I'll be quieter.

[She smiles sleepily at him and ruffles a hand through hair that she knows is probably ridiculous at this moment then shakes her head.]

S'okay. I don't mind.

[She yawns then wanders over to the hammock bed, and the only seating in their living room at the moment, and plops down, pulling her feet up with her.]

[He watches her and then looks back at what he was doing when she asks, holding up a bit of it for her to see.] I was trying to change the currents - amplify them, really - but I haven't got... Any, of the things I need, so now I'm working out how to recreate them without buying all the aluminium foil in the City to do it. And for some reason all the marshmallows. Couldn't sleep.
