018 ▌Accidentally Intentional Recording

Oct 25, 2011 00:02

[There is mostly some sort of noise of exclamation emanating from the bathroomy area of the flat the Doctor and Rose share. The device has been left on some magical flat surface in the kitchen, since neither of us knows how much furniture they actually have. It doesn't take long before the Doctor comes out of the bathroom, trousers on and towel ( Read more... )

[Rose stepped out while the Doctor was in the shower to get a few groceries: biscuits, tea, carrots, apples, eggs and milk. When she sees the Doctor's recording she can't stop giggling. It's as much the Doctor talking to the rabbits as it is about him finding out about the temporary hair coloring she put in his shampoo.

She's on her way back to the flat with a bagful of groceries.]

Well you wanted to be ginger, yeah?

I did! That, that I did, yes. A while ago, and I'm a bit surprised you remember, but it was a bit of a... shock, is all. How does it look? [He's got the device right up close to his face and then basically all she can see is hair.] S'it alright?

And where are you? Your rabbits are gonna get stepped on if we don't figure out a specific part of the flat they can hop-hop-hop their little hop-happy selves until they're all hopped out.

'Course I remember. [She grins at him.] Looks dashin'. Might take a bit a gettin' used to but yeah...I could. [She turns, pushing the door to their building open with her hip.]

Pickin' up some groceries. We ought to get them one of those big play corrals. The cage is too little.

[She steps into the lift.]

Almost home.

Dashing? Really? [He leaves his bowl of cereal on the counter in the kitchen so he can meet her at the doorway and let her in while she's carrying all those groceries.] You think?

[ Donna gulps down the mournful wail trying to escape before speaking. ]

[Donna is getting very quirked but amused eyebrows in response.] Yes? D'you like it? If you don't, it was Rose's fault. So are the bunnies.

I think I would get in rather severe trouble for that, and I've had quite enough of that recently. Besides, they're quite soft little things. Not sure I could handle the guilt.

...that's right, gentlemen don't have the stomach for that. Leave it... leave it to your hired help.

[... He feels vaguely insulted by that and he's not actually sure why.] I haven't got any 'hired help'. What if I just like fluffy things? You haven't got a heart if you don't like fluffy things. In fact, having two, I think I like them rather more than usual.

[Don't ask where the broadcast is coming from, but a pair of eyes can be seen staring into the screen. This sound is the only accompaniment.]

Actually. [The camera quality clears a moment before snowing over and bouncing.] You can.

[Clear...then straight to audio visual hell.]

Not now. Soon...

Thank you, that wasn't cryptic at all. I would warn you, medicine is actually not my area of speciality.

[And Estelle, who doesn't know this person nor why his exclamation of was so shocking (it looked like a normal hair color to her...), is more focused on the rabbits. Oh, what she would do to have a rabbit...or to accidentally trip over her own pets. Woes she does not know as most animals still seem to avoid her.]

Maybe someone wants a rabbit as a pet...? I suppose you could give away a few that way!

I think that's how we got these, actually. I'll have to ask. They were mostly just here nibbling on my sheets when I came home. If they start... rabbitising, there will definitely be some bunnies finding new homes though. Hard enough finding things without there being a warren on top.

Ah, you mean how rabbits tend to...um...'multiply'? [A nervous laughter on her part.] If you give them away one at a time I'm sure that wouldn't happen. I do hope you're able to find a solution though. [One that doesn't involve killing them, she hopes. They're so cute!]

[She seems to be quite worried he's going to kill these bunnies somehow. If he were noticing he might be hurt by that.] I'm sure they won't be too much an issue. Right now they're just the softest, hoppiest, twitchiest things, which is, as stated, well adorable. When I see them at all. They're quite low to the ground.
