In general, bleeding - even lighter than normal bleeding - is not a sign of pregnancy. It sounds like you're just having an atypical period, which definitely happens. Are you tracking your periods? I've found that doing that shows that I'm not nearly as regular as I thought I was!

Thank you for your response! I've been tracking it for years. Some months my cycle is 27 days others 29 but the length of bleeding always remains the same. I guess I'm concerned that I started bleeding 5 days sooner than expected and longer than 7 days. I do have an appt scheduled with gyno for next week.

Pregnancy tests are really cheap for peace of mind :) I don't think you are this time, though.
