I would like to get some of the following books. However I can only spend up to $30. Which of the following books do you recommend?

The Book Thief by Markus Zusak - I cannot put into words how awesome this book is.

The Book Thief is great. Even my mom read and loved it.
The only other one I've read on this list is The Zombie Survival Guide. It's funny, but not funny enough to buy.

I'd suggest a day scouring the secondhand stores.

um, I'm embarrassed to say that the only one I have an authority to speak on is the Max Brooks. And even then, I've only read World War Z. But World War Z was a fabulously amazing book, so I'd heartily recommend anything by Brooks.

PS why not just hit up the library and check out some of these?
