Kombucha cultures for free

So I have quite an excess of kombucha cultures.
So anyone who wants some please contact me.
I dont want to start throwing them away.

Is it something I could make in my house without killing my cat or grossing out my neater-than-me roomate?

No killing of cats and the room mate should be fine with it. It smells a little of vinegar near the end of each cycle but not at all upsettingly so.
