the first several photos are excellently done, but the last few are terribly overexposed with poor contrast ratio done between you and the background.

Normally yeah, and actually, the photographer even agrees with you on that one. He said all the Wood Nymph ones were a wash. But they've become my new Wood Nymph outfit favorites.

Personally I like the "bad" lighting as a stylistic element here because it makes the colors more vibrant and the image more interesting. Also, it fits with the Wood Nymph outfit, because it seems more like a candid photo of an elusive creature.
You might not see it in W or Vogue just yet, but as an alternative style of photography, it's quite well recieved.
