Mortal sin completely cuts the soul off from God. You know the three conditions necessary for a sin to be mortal. Grave sin is sometimes equated with mortal sin. If it's serious, go to confession but first, as soon as you realize the sin, tell God you are sorry.

Lying and cheating could be grave matter. It depends on what you lie about or cheat on. Moral theology is unheloful like that.

Which APs are you taking?

Lit wasn't too bad. It isn't anything you can really study for, which in some ways is a relief.

Gov was easier than I expected, Calc was terrible, but I'm awful at Math higher than multiplication.

Forgive me for "intruding" on your journal, but I found you in one of the catholic communities mentioning that you are going to be a freshman at Mount St. Mary's next year. I actually just finished my freshman year there. From what I have gotten from lurking around your journal for a few minutes, I would say you really don't have much to worry about and I think you will fit in really well and love it there. If you have any concerns or questions or anything feel free to ask me. :)
