everyone goes through bad patches in life. i think mine started when i was 8 and has only just recently started to subside, but i'm considerably less civilized and tame than yourself, so don't get out the bottles of booze and sleeping pills just yet. yours is bound to clear up shortly.
as for relationships, you need to go through the hassle and agony of the bad ones in order to find and recognize the good ones and the one. after all, how do you know it's daytime if you've never seen the night?
