Last week, my co-teacher and I suggested to our students that instead of our typical meal planning class, we do an exotic fruit tasting.
Most of the students were pretty good about trying stuff, and two of them tried every single thing we offered. The funny thing was, the two students who were the most excited about planning the process, finding pics of exotics fruits online, etc, were two of the hardest sells when the day actually came, and I think one of them ended up not trying anything.
The next day we took the leftovers on our field trip to a local dairy farm, and had a picnic in the sun on the grass. It was so perfect!
