I'm amused that you don't understand fan loyalty. The Red Sox took 86 years between World Series wins, and they were still wildly popular during those 86 years of drought.

It's probably the same way others can't understand faith/religion.

:) It's maybe more that I don't understand the rivalries.

I think the Wayzata Schools have a lot to be proud of, but while waiting for Andrew's XC practice to be over, I've heard the marching band director dissing a neighboring school district in ways that left me really disgusted, and Andrew has said the director makes frequent comments like that in class, too. I don't see the need for that at all. You can say, "Tighten up, guys," without sneering about how the group looks like they're from Hopkins, yk?

Hometown pride: good, all good
Ridiculing others: not cool
Violence, particularly over a GAME: unconscionable
