I don't know the full story, nor do I care to, but apparently this woman is (now WAS?) a Labour supporter. Now she's just another victim of the Proud Man's Contumely, I suppose.

Criminy sakes, can't we stop it with the insincere public apologies already? Churchill, Truman, De Gaulle, Clemenceau, La Guardia...they all said some damned harsh things, but I don't recall them taking any of their words back. Only leaders who can't really lead do that.
