give me the name of a good "coming of age" film. and those of you who know mr. mellana, which is pretty much all of you, add that into the mix, since he is the man who made the request (we plan on watching movies for the rest of the semester in senior seminar).

when i went to visit him, lewis and i were throwing up out the funniest suggestions and mellana was getting so sick of us.

"oh!! ______... there is even a fabulous orgy scene about an hour in."

"and ______!!! except your whole class will hate it. WE hated it!"

I just watched I Capture the Castle the other night... that's a good coming of age one, frustratingly complicated at times, but really good...

Dead Poet's Society (duh. but SO GOOD seriously).

and i forgot about dead poets society. such a good suggestion! though im not sure...do you think thats mellanas kind of movie?

Yeah, I think you would like it.. I can see you having the same reactions as me. ;)

DPS is totally mellana's type of movie, he basically IS robin williams character, and was the one who first got us (me, at least) into cool classic poetry, whitman and the like.
