Well, things have been going really well over here in Cairo.  I'm actually glad that I'm here for the whole year--I definitely wouldn't want to go home right now!  I love my apartment--it's much more of a real-life experience than the dorms were.  When I need groceries, I can't just go to Alfa Market--I have to buy things from the little shops on ( Read more... )

Dios mio! Cairo sounds exciting. Speaking of AIESEC, yeah, it is taking up all my damn time. The LDS in Morocco is right at the end of my spring break, and I have this odd (and totally illogical) compulsion to go....not that I have the money or time, but oh well. Our national elections are coming up soon, too! There's all this drama that I don't understand, but whatever. And apparently some Illinois people were at WSC, so I was all, "I have a friend in Illinois!" and they were all, "well, what's her name?" and I was all, "never mind....she totally was not there...." and yeah. Good story. ANYWAY I'm a little cracked out on poli sci readings, so I'm going to sleep.

COME TO MOROCCO!!! I'm going to try really hard to go, even though I blew all my money on our European Extravaganza. But I'm seriously--what would be more awesome than a reunion in Morocco??? Do it do it do it!!! Min fadlik!

Hahaha yes, no more shuttle madness for me! Bwahaha. AIESEC is an international student organization that sends students on exchanges to live and work in another country. It also focuses on leadership, global awareness, and the like. And every once in a while we go to ridiculous conferences which involve sessions from 9 AM to midnight and the parties till around 4 AM. Good times.
