Very interesting premise you've got going here. My heart just aches for Kara though... I wonder where she's gone to now and how badly she's gonna get frakked over this time. Is it bad that's how my mind works?
Someone get Karin on a manip of this because there is so much sexy going on in this fic. :)

OMG, i really didn't think that anyone other than Pali and Naz would read this. Haha.
Yes, Kara angst is high in this one, but I was seriously thinking what if Kara was a time traveller? It wouldn't explain everything but i like the possibilities. Also, I've been reading Time Traveler's Wife again and Here's problem is genetic there. Also he can't change major events, so I imagine Kara's condition would be similar.
HOLY CRAP GRAPHICS NEED TO BE MADE. KATEE + FASSY = HOTNESS EXPLOSION.
Anyway, thank you so much for reading/commenting.

I wasn't too sure what to think of the Erik/Kara shipping at first, but I think that you definitely made it work. They're both warriors at heart who have caused so much destruction in the past, but they have different forces driving them: Erik wants to wage war on those who have wronged him, but Kara wants to find peace with herself and her crapsack life. It was very fun seeing them joust with eachother like that!
While I hold a differing opinion against your interpretation on what the "Harbinger of Death" role meant (I always thought that it meant that Kara was a messenger who was dead, but didn't bring death with her), I did like the part where she copes with the misfortune that she has brought to the people that she loves the most.
Just a thought, but it could have been interesting to see a scene in the end where Charles and Kara interact and share their philosophies on peace, since they are pretty similar.
Great job :D!

To be perfectly honest with you, this is a ship I was hesitant about as well, but pali167 was just asking for something fun...and of course, I made it SUPER angsty. Haha. I think that Erik and Kara have a lot in common in terms of a difficult background and being people that need to deal with pain and anger.
I did take some license with Kara's Harbinger role to fit this particular fic, and also I tried to get it from her thoughts which I imagine are still in need of much sorting out in terms of who she is. I really do believe that she keeps avoiding thinking about it too much, and that leads her to false conclusions.
I have no idea if that makes sense. :\
Believe me, I wrote out about 3 or four additional scenes that didn't fit here (and were kinda "meh" anyway). You know, if you want to give the Kara/Charles scene a shot, I'd LOVE to see it!!!
Again, thanks for commenting. :D
cheers.

What I LOVED about this fic!
The perfectly developed tension between Erik and Kara AND CHARLES!!!! Eeeeee!!! I actually started reading this with a I don't know how I feel about her coming between my two sweethearts but you totally ACKNOWLEDGED that feeling in here. LOVED THAT!
Also, you very deftly moved through the physicality of the relationship without being overtly coy about it. Obviously it was happening, but it didn't need to be all gratuitous and... well, sweaty. LOL It felt beautiful and sweet. *HUGS*
Lastly, your story's ending just made me ACHE for me. Loved it. Loved where it ended. Loved HOW it ended.
Pitch. Perfect.
*MAD CLAPPING*
You rock my world, girl! <3 K :>D
