But dude... I have to say that "everyone" who lives off campus will probably turn out to be not as many people as you might think. I stayed on campus my junior year (and am staying pretty much on it, in on-campus townhouse type thingies) with two close friends and was quite happy...I had a meal plan and reliable hot food whenever I wanted, and they had to live on sandwiches and easy mac if they didn't have a culinary roomie. Plus, this way you can visit your off campus friends and go to their parties without ever having to clean up. Or clean your own bathroom. On campus is convenient, and I know I practice more when I'm close to the building. May you'd enjoy having a single in the same building as a friend or something...that way you've got the proximity of roommates but the privacy of neighbors
