Summary: Ueda had been keeping a secret hidden from his friends for many years, but now the secret is out.
Ueda stood up on a hill, looking down at Tokyo. The city noise was barely audible; the wind cares Ueda’s face.
He looked at his watch, it was 20.45, the sky had already turned orange and yellow as the sun went down behind the horizon.
A couple of minutes more and Ueda would be able to reveal his darkest secret to his friends.

(Earlier that day)
Ueda walked into KAT-TUN’s dressing room, the other members was making a lot of noise and was playing around with each other. Junno and Koki were playing video games and Maru were watching, Kame were trying to memorize his lines for a drama while Jin were fixing his hair by the mirrors.
Ueda looked at his friends sand smiled, they had been together for so long that they couldn’t be separated again; they started out by hating each other so much, but they had soon learned to work with each other, as their bonds had grown stronger.
“Mina…” said Ueda, his friends looked up from their activities.
“What’s up, Uepi?” Asked Kame.
Ueda looked down on the floor and was fiddling with hi sleeve.
“I have something to tell you guys, actually, it’s something I need to show you…”
“What is it?” Asked Maru and smiled.
“C-Can we meet later? I can first show you later tonight.”
“Sure! What time?”
“Meet me in the park on the hill, at around 21.00.”
“Okay, we’ll be there!”

"Ueda!"
Ueda turned around and smiled as he saw his friends walk up to him, they all greeted each other
"So, Ueda, what did you want to show us?" Asked Koki.
"I need to tell you a story first."
The others sat down as they listened to Ueda's story.
"You've all heard about experimenting on humans, right? Well, the story starts out where there once was a little boy; he had a happy family, he went to a all-boy school and had a lot of friends.
But the happiness didn't last, the economy suddenly dropped dramatically and the boys farther lost his job, he couldn't get another job and slowly his family spends all their saving money and their food supply ran out too. One day they read an article in the news paper about mutant experiments on humans, and that they were looking for volunteers that could help them.
This little boy couldn't stand seeing his family go hungry anymore so he went to the lab and gave himself up in exchange for money to his family.
But the doctor’s experiments were much more than the little boy had expected, he went through a lot of pain and torture, until the brick of insanity, he was only eight..."
Ueda took a few steps back so the sun was right behind him, the sun was slowly disappearing and the sky lighted up in bright colors.
"...when the doctors was satisfied, they sent him home to his family again...but he soon saw that there was something seriously wrong, every night about this time, he would change into something inhuman..."
Ueda lighted up for a split second and he had changed, he wore white clothes and had wings; they were white and waved in the breeze, Ueda's face was pale, almost white, he looked so beautiful ...like and angel.
"Like this," said Ueda, Kame whispered, "the little boy was you...?"
Ueda nodded, his friends stood up slowly and walked towards him.
"Can you fly?" Asked Junno, the others smiled, "I can." Said Ueda.
"So, you become like this every night?" Asked Jin, Ueda nodded; he
turned away from the others and wrapped his arms around himself, his
wings were bended like a roof over him.
"You must think that I'm a monster." His eyes were filled with tears,
"I'm sorry...I shouldn't have shown you, I'm not human..."
Kame stepped up behind Ueda and touched the white feathers, Ueda
gasped by the touch; "they are really real," whispered Kame, "you’re
not a monster, you did this for your family, the doctors did horrible
things to you but you aren't a monster, you’re a human being like
everyone else, you're beautiful too."
Ueda turned around, "Kame...I-"
"There you are, Experiment 957, I've been looking for you!"
Ueda froze and turned towards the elderly voice, a man in his late forties came walking up the hill; he walked towards Ueda with friendly outstretched arms, but Ueda stepped back and the man stopped.
"Is this how you treat your master, the one that made you who you are?"
"You’re not my master! You don't owe me!" Screamed Ueda, "you said you
were only to make a few tests, not a major mutation! You lied to me! Look at me!" Ueda stretched out his arms and pointed at his wings that had suddenly grew and was reaching up a meter over Ueda's head.
"I'm sorry of the pain I caused you, but look at what I created! A master piece, you're unique! Like nothing else on the planet!"
"I never wanted to be like this!" Tears streamed down Ueda's beautiful, pale face; the doctor took a step forward, "come with me, you don't belong here."
The doctors face showed sympathy, but there weren’t any emotions in his eyes.
Ueda looked around at his friends, they were shocked and confused.
The doctor went on, "they don't understand your feelings, they never will, but I do! I know what you went through and I understand your feelings, come..." He reached out for Ueda's hand; Ueda looked at it and stepped forward.
"Ueda!" Yelled his friends.
Ueda froze.
"don't listen to the man! He'll just take you back to wherever he came from and do more
experiments on you!" Yelled Kame.
The doctor replied; "They're lying! They don't know you as much as I do! I was there when you went through the pain, I was there to see you evolve into this magnificent creature-"
Ueda fell to his knees, his hands pressing on the sides of his head; he screamed, "Shut up!"
"-I was the one that saw you become something unnatural, something never seen before; you went through so much pain, a normal person would have gone insane. But you! You went though it all! Even when we ripped the skin off your back, you could stand-"
"P-Please! S-Stop...!" His tears colored his white shirt with dark spots.
"I was there when you screamed out the top of your lungs, I saw your vulnerable face! Oh! The hatred I saw in your eyes! Just like a wild animal! I was even there when they ripped off your clothes and exposed you to everyone’s view! Such pale skin-"
"YOU BASTARD!!!!!!" Screamed Kame and punched the doctor in the face, he fell to the ground and looked up with shock.
Ueda looked around with red tearful eyes, he was confused, in pain and in shock, and his whole body was trembling.
"Ueda..." Whispered Kame and stepped closer to Ueda, Ueda looked at him with wide eyes, "K-Ka-m-me..." Kame wanted to help Ueda on his feet but he got pushed away.
"Ueda?"
Ueda stood up and spread his wings out in full size; his friends looked at him with wondrous eyes.
“You can stay with us, Ueda, you always can," Said Kame.
Ueda looked at them with dark eyes, "I-I'm sorry..."
"Please, Uepi, please don't leave."
"I have to..."
"Don’t leave me."
"I can't stay... I'm sorry."
Ueda turned around and sprinted over the hill, his friends chased after him; Ueda jumped out over the hill and spread his wings, they caught the wind and it carried him up in the sky.
"UEDA!" Screamed Kame, "I love you! Don't leave me!"
Ueda heard Kame but he didn't turn around, instead he pushed himself higher up in the orange sky and further away from his friends and Tokyo; the wind blew in his face washing away his tears and worries and the sun's last waves warmed his body, this was where he belonged.
Away from all the humans thoughts, no worries, no fear, no pain; only him flying in the sky, being free.
He laughed as he pushed himself higher over the clouds and disappeared in the direction of the sun.
Kame was on his knees, watching Ueda disappear into the sun; he swore that he could hear Ueda laugh.
Kame's heart was heavy, he had told Ueda his true feelings but it was too late to be any good, and now Ueda was gone, maybe he was in a better place, he was gone... maybe forever.
"What do we do now?" Asked Maru, Kame stood up and looked at them, he said; "if this is what Ueda wanted...then so be it, maybe he'll come back one day; but until then we'll wait for him."
The others agreed and started walking down the hill, to their apartments, Kame looked once over his shoulder -hoping that he could see Ueda one last time; but Ueda had disappeared far from where Kame could see him.
"I love you Ueda, I don't care what or who you are; you're the only
one that I want, I'll wait for you.

Kame was sitting on the bench where KAT-TUN had sat when Ueda had shown them his secret, it was almost the same time too; the sun was slowly fading behind the mountains and was glowing up the sky in bright yellow and orange colors.
Kame had gotten the habit of coming here everyday, just to think, right? Or did he come here everyday to wait for Ueda?
He wasn't really sure, he still loved Ueda of all his heart; but as days passed by, it became more clear for Kame that Ueda might not be coming back.
Kame shakes his head, NO!! It was wrong! He shouldn't give up hope
yet, Ueda would come home one day, right?

Kame rested his head in his hands and sighted; "God, Ueda...I miss you
so much!"
"I missed you too, Kame."
Kame jumped up and in front of him stood Ueda with his beautiful white wings on his back; he looked as beautiful as always and nothing had changed, Kame ran over and hugged him tight.
"UEDA!"
Ueda smiled and patted him on the head, Kame yelled; "I missed you so
much!"
"How long was I gone?"
"For over two weeks, I was lonely without you."
"You know, you could have caught a cold by sitting out here every day."
"You knew? How?"
"I came here a couple of times; I just wanted to make sure that you were okay."
"So you've been here the whole time?"
"Mostly...sorry for leaving, I just needed some time to think and be myself; sorry for leaving you for such a long time."
"I forgive you! I need to tell you this though: I don't care who or what you are, what the doctors did to you was horrible, I could never forgive them, but Ueda? I love you."
Ueda smiled, "I love you too."
A gentle breeze blew Ueda's hair around and he looked up in the sky, he grinned and asked; "I know you don't like to fly Kame, but please forgive me this time."
"What are you talking about-AAAHHHHH!!!!"
Ueda caught Kame's hand and sprinted towards the peek of the hill, he threw Kame over the edge and jumped out after him; Kame screamed in horror as he fell through the air.
As he was only few meters from the ground, Ueda suddenly appeared under him.
He spread his wings so Kame landed on his back, safe between his wings and before Kame had time to catch his breath Ueda accelerated and lurched himself in a spiral towards the open sky, his powerful wings flapped and sent them even higher and faster towards heaven.
Kame was sitting on Ueda's back and had a tight grip on his shirt; he had closed his eyes and tried not to fall off.
He suddenly felt the wind slow down to a pleasant breeze and he carefully opened his eyes as Ueda said; "open your eyes."
Kame looked around and gasped by the view, they were high up in the sky and was surrounded by the beautiful bright colors; he looked down and looked amazed as Tokyo only looked like a small city for dolls.
Ueda looked behind him at Kame and asked, "What do you think?"
"It's beautiful," whispered Kame, "glad you like it;" replied Ueda.
"I'm not feeling scared or anything, it's actually quiet fun!"
"Really? You haven't seen the best yet!"
"You wouldn't..." Threatened Kame, Ueda laughed and yelled; "hold on tight!"
He accelerated into top speed in a matter of seconds and flew upwards until Kame thought they would reach the outer space, Ueda then folded his wings tight into his body and they started falling like a rocket towards earth; Kame screamed by surprise and his grip tightened on Ueda's shirt.
They reached a huge waterfall close to Mount Fuji and was aiming strait at it, Kame pointed and Ueda replied; "I promise I won't drop you!"
"Well, that's comforting!" Yelled Kame sarcastically, Ueda laughed and flew strait for the waterfall; a matter of seconds before they hit the water Ueda spread out his wings in their full length and flew upwards, as they went up the waterfall Kame could see his own reflection in the water.
They flew up over and upwards towards the sky but this time Ueda only flew halfway and aimed at a big river flowing between two big cliffs, he flew upwards before be dropped down again and increased their speed; Kame realized what Ueda was about to do.
Ueda spun around once before folding his wings into his body and dived between the cliffs, he turned a split second before they hit the walls of the cliffs and Kame was holding on the best he could.
Ueda wouldn't slow down and made circles and spun around several times after each other and other crazy stuff.
Finally he slowed down and they reached the surface of the river down between the two cliffs, Ueda touched the water with his hand and guided Kame to do the same; the water was freezing cold but refreshing at the same time, Ueda laughed as he saw Kame's face that looked like a little baby seeing the first snow.
"How was it?"
"Please don't do it again without my permission."
"Yes, sir!"
Ueda spread his wings one last time before they flew up towards Tokyo.
They reached the park just after midnight, amazingly the sun was still there; they were only a few meters from the ground when- BANG!
Ueda felt something hit him in the chest and he started to fall towards the ground, he tried desperately to fly up but his wings were numb, Kame screamed and tried to hold on to Ueda's back, but they were going too fast and Ueda was spinning in circles.
Kame was thrown off Ueda's back but luckily he was close enough to the ground so he didn't break any bones; it took him several seconds to focus and look around to see what had happened.
After Kame has fallen off Ueda had landed heavy on the ground, he groaned in pain and tried to stand up but his legs were giving out, they were going numb too; he pulled out the needle in his chest and threw it far away, he looked around for Kame,
"Kame?!"
Kame stood up with shaky legs and said, "I'm okay!"
Ueda tried to stand up but suddenly out of nowhere several guys appeared and pinned Ueda to the ground, Ueda cried out as one of the guys ripped out one of his feathers.
"Stop!" Yelled Kame, "You’re hurting him!"
A man ran over and grabbed Kame so he couldn't run away.
The others brought out some robes and wrapped them around Ueda, he cried out when they tied them too tight around his wings; but he couldn't do anything, he was on his knees and he was almost paralyzed.
"Leave him alone! You're hurting him! Let him go, you bastards!"
Yelled Kame.
Suddenly a voice was heard, "nice to meet you again, experiment 957."
Ueda looked up with wide eyes, the doctor was back, and he was grinning with victory; "it's been a while, but I must say that I hadn't expected to find you in this place again."
He looked over at Kame and pointed at his swollen noise, "thanks for the warm greetings last time."
"Apparently I didn't hit hard enough," mumbled Kame
The doctor turned towards Ueda again and lifted his head so he could see his face.
"You're coming with me, I don't care if you like it or not; see, I'm used to get what I want, and so you better do as I say."
Ueda spat him in the face, "never!"
The doctor hit him hard in the face so he started to bleed, "UEDA!" Cried Kame.
"Take him away," said the doctor and left, the guys lifted Ueda up and carried him away; Ueda tried to get free but the medicine he was injected with made him tired and his vision was clouded.
“Ueda!” Kame tried to get out of the guys grip, but was unsuccessful.
"No! Don't come, Kame! Stay away! It's a place where you don't want to be, stay away! I love you, Kame! I love you!"
The guy that was holding Kame hit him in the head and as he fell to the ground, the last thing Kame heard was Ueda's scream.

Kame woke up in Jin's bed the next day, he looked confused at his friends; he suddenly remembered what had happened the day before and he jumped up, "Ueda!!!"
Maru gently pushed Kame down in the bed again, "we were worried about you, you didn't come home so we went out looking for you; we found you unconscious on the ground, what happened?"
"He was there! Ueda came back!"
"What?"
"I saw him, he finally came back! He took me out flying, it was amazing!"
"What happened?"
Kame's face turned pale, "the doctor! The doctor from before! He came and injected Ueda with something and took him away; I tried to stop them, but I couldn't do anything!"
"Where are they now?" Asked Koki.
Junno said, "Probably at the EHR (Experimental Human Research) Centre."
"We need to rescue him! We need to help him!" Yelled Kame, Maru took his hand; "first you need to get better, you were outside for too long and caught a small cold."
"But after, will you promise to help me save Ueda?"
"Of Course!"

Ueda slowly opened his eyes, he still felt dizzy from the medicine; he looked around and saw he was strapped down to a big table, around him was big scary instruments and other doctors was walking around him taking notes, luckily his wings had disappeared so they couldn’t see them.
A doctor in his mid fifties came into the room and smiled, "I see that you're awake, good. You probably don't remember me, it's been a long time; my name is Dr. Tamaho."
Ueda turned his head in the opposite direction, "why should I care?"
"Because I am the one, who helped make you, who you are."
Ueda looked shocked at the old man, he couldn't remember anything; "what are you going to do with me?"
"We're going to make a few small tests, but they aren't going to be pleasant."
Ueda pulled in the straps and tried to get free, the straps were too tight and they didn't budge.
"Let me go!"
The doctor smiled, "I'm afraid that we can't; you belong to us, remember?"
The doctor turned around to a small table with instruments on it, he took up what looked like a remote, it had the red button which clearly indicated trouble.
The doctor turned to Ueda again and said, "you've probably noticed the straps around your wrists, ankles, neck, chest and head-"
Ueda looked down, on the straps were small black circles which indicated something bad would happen.
The doctor continued, "-they are connected with this remote, whenever I press this button-"
He pressed the button and electricity jolted through Ueda's body, Ueda screamed in pain.
The doctor laughed, "-Electricity will run through your body and cause great torture.”
“Y-You're sick in t-the head." Hissed Ueda through his teeth, Dr. Tamaho let go and Ueda gasped in relief that the pain was over.
"What do you want?" Asked Ueda with a sore throat, his head had gone all fuzzy and it was hard for him to think.
Dr. Tamaho smiled; “show me your wings."
"I can't! I can only show them at night!"
"Then you better learn how to, before you die!" Tamaho pressed the button again and electricity ran through Ueda's body; he screamed the top of his lungs, and prayed to God that the pain would end.

Kame jumped up in the bed, he was sweaty and his heart was raising, Maru opened the door and asked if he was okay; "did you hear that?" Asked Kame.
"Hear what?" Asked Maru.
"I heard someone scream!"
"It was probably just a dream."
Kame looked around, "where are the others?"
"They went to go looking for Ueda, get some rest; later today you'll be able to help searching too."
Kame nodded and fell asleep quickly; Maru slowly closed the door and went to the living room, where he was watching TV.
He had heard the screaming too but he didn't want to tell Kame, he would get too worried.

"AAARRRGGGHHHH!!!"
Ueda screamed as Dr. Tamaho pulled out another one of his feathers.
Ueda had finally given up and had pushed himself to show his wings, now, he was locked into a dark room with no windows or furniture’s, he was tied up with chains and his wings had been spread out and tied too, he could barely touch the ground.
Around them on the ground laid many of Ueda's white feathers, another one joined them.
"It doesn't matter how many I pull out, they'll grow out again, but the pain is the same...how is it? Is it human? Is it bearable?."
He took a hard grip around Ueda's feathers and yanked them out, Ueda screamed out in pain; blood flooded out and colored the floor red.
Ueda's eyes rolled back in his skull, he was on the brick of losing his mind.
Someone save me! Please!

Several days had passed since KAT-TUN had started to search for Ueda, but they were out of luck; no one had seen him and the workers at the EHR Centre didn't want to talk with them, unless they had a warrant from the police.
Kame was going crazy, he had no clue on where or what was happening to Ueda; he felt a heavy burden in his heart, and every hour he felt like he failed to keep some sort of promise.
Ueda, wait for me...I'll find you, I promise...love you!

"W-Where am I? W-What happened? It hurts... please...somebody! Help me...it hurts, m-make it stop...I can't take it. Kame?!? Where are you? P-Please help me; don't leave m-me here! I love you! Kame...? It's so dark...someone! Please save me! Please..."

After a week of searching and informing the police, they finally got a tip on where Ueda was; they got the warrant which said that they could search everywhere in the EHR Centre, when Kame got the news he rushed to the big facility with his friends.
They searched for hours but found nothing; they finally got to the end of the facility and were shocked to see it.
There were big surgery labs with huge machines that they've never seen before; there were also small cells that looked like those in prison.
When they came to the last operating room, Kame gasped and backed up; in the middle of the room was a big table with straps on and around it, tables filled with equipment.
But the most shocking thing was that there were bloody feathers all over the floor.
Pictures were hanging on a wall which showed an x-ray; it was a picture of a humans skeleton; what also was shocking that this person had extra bones growing out of his back, they was formed like...wings?
Kame saw a note that said "Cell 957."
Kame ran to the cells where supposedly Ueda was kept, "955...956...957!"
Kame pushed open the door, a wave of air hit him in the face; it smelled like sweat and blood, he waited a few seconds for his eyes to adapt to the darkness so he could see into the cell, he gasped.
Ueda was chained in the middle of the room, his arms and wings were stretched out and held with chains; Ueda was dripping with sweat, he had several bruises and cuts all over his body and his beautiful white wings was ripped and torn into a bloody mess.
"UEDA!!!"
Kame ran over to Ueda, he gently touched Ueda's neck to see if there was a pulse, luckily he could feel it very faint; he struggled with opening the chains but finally succeeded, Ueda collapsed under his own weight but Kame caught him as his body fell
deadly-heavy to the ground.
Kame laid Ueda gentle in his lap; he strokes a piece of hair off his sweaty forehead.
Kame gently touched Ueda's wings; Ueda gasped and opened his eyes.
He looked with wide eyes at Kame; he looked like a little boy where somebody has taken his teddy bear.
"Ueda..." Whispered Kame, Ueda opened his mouth and tried to say something but nothing came out; Kame whispered, "It’s okay now...you're safe."
Ueda starred at Kame, his chest rose and fell quickly; he raised his hand and placed it on Kame's chest, Kame nodded and took his hand.
"I love you, Ueda; I'm sorry that I didn't come sooner, I’m so sorry..."

The others found Kame and Ueda and they were sent to the nearest hospital, but before they came Ueda had hidden his wings so the doctors couldn't see them.
After a long day’s sleep KAT-TUN came to visit him, Ueda smiled and sat up in the bed.
"Hey, mina."
"How are you?" Asked Maru, Ueda smiled; "I'm better."
Kame went over by Ueda's side and took his hands, "how about...?"
"They are healing, it just takes a while."
"What about flying?"
"I will be able to in a couple of days."
"COOL!!!!! Can I try flying too? Kame did! Please Ueda?!?" Junno jumped up and down.
"Of course."
"YAY!!!!"
Everyone laughed and enjoyed themselves for the rest of the day.
Kame kept holding Ueda’s hand and no one said anything about it.
Him and Ueda had already exchanged their love to each other, their friends new about it and respected them.
Right now, the only thing in their minds was for Ueda to get better; so the normal days could return.
Well, sort of normal days, Junno still needed to get a ‘ride’ from Ueda; the others probably wanted one too.
Ueda laughed to himself as he watched his friends talk, he was glad it was all over. He still had his wings, but his friends would help him get used to them. Besides, they weren’t so bad to have, when your friends were around.

Jinda is my favorite pairing, but I couldn’t help to make this fanfic a Kameda, they are so cute together! :3

"Can you fly?" Asked Junno, the others smiled, "I can." Said Ueda.
"So, you become like this every night?" Asked Jin, Ueda nodded; he
turned away from the others and wrapped his arms around himself, his
wings were bended like a roof over him.
"You must think that I'm a monster." His eyes were filled with tears,
"I'm sorry...I shouldn't have shown you, I'm not human..."
Kame stepped up behind Ueda and touched the white feathers, Ueda
gasped by the touch; "they are really real," whispered Kame, "you’re
not a monster, you did this for your family, the doctors did horrible
things to you but you aren't a monster, you’re a human being like
everyone else, you're beautiful too."
Ueda turned around, "Kame...I-"
"There you are, Experiment 957, I've been looking for you!"
Ueda froze and turned towards the elderly voice, a man in his late forties came walking up the hill; he walked towards Ueda with friendly outstretched arms, but Ueda stepped back and the man stopped.
"Is this how you treat your master, the one that made you who you are?"
"You’re not my master! You don't owe me!" Screamed Ueda, "you said you
were only to make a few tests, not a major mutation! You lied to me! Look at me!" Ueda stretched out his arms and pointed at his wings that had suddenly grew and was reaching up a meter over Ueda's head.
"I'm sorry of the pain I caused you, but look at what I created! A master piece, you're unique! Like nothing else on the planet!"
"I never wanted to be like this!" Tears streamed down Ueda's beautiful, pale face; the doctor took a step forward, "come with me, you don't belong here."
The doctors face showed sympathy, but there weren’t any emotions in his eyes.
Ueda looked around at his friends, they were shocked and confused.
The doctor went on, "they don't understand your feelings, they never will, but I do! I know what you went through and I understand your feelings, come..." He reached out for Ueda's hand; Ueda looked at it and stepped forward.
"Ueda!" Yelled his friends.
Ueda froze.
"don't listen to the man! He'll just take you back to wherever he came from and do more
experiments on you!" Yelled Kame.
The doctor replied; "They're lying! They don't know you as much as I do! I was there when you went through the pain, I was there to see you evolve into this magnificent creature-"
Ueda fell to his knees, his hands pressing on the sides of his head; he screamed, "Shut up!"
"-I was the one that saw you become something unnatural, something never seen before; you went through so much pain, a normal person would have gone insane. But you! You went though it all! Even when we ripped the skin off your back, you could stand-"
"P-Please! S-Stop...!" His tears colored his white shirt with dark spots.
"I was there when you screamed out the top of your lungs, I saw your vulnerable face! Oh! The hatred I saw in your eyes! Just like a wild animal! I was even there when they ripped off your clothes and exposed you to everyone’s view! Such pale skin-"
"YOU BASTARD!!!!!!" Screamed Kame and punched the doctor in the face, he fell to the ground and looked up with shock.
Ueda looked around with red tearful eyes, he was confused, in pain and in shock, and his whole body was trembling.
"Ueda..." Whispered Kame and stepped closer to Ueda, Ueda looked at him with wide eyes, "K-Ka-m-me..." Kame wanted to help Ueda on his feet but he got pushed away.
"Ueda?"
Ueda stood up and spread his wings out in full size; his friends looked at him with wondrous eyes.
“You can stay with us, Ueda, you always can," Said Kame.
Ueda looked at them with dark eyes, "I-I'm sorry..."
"Please, Uepi, please don't leave."
"I have to..."
"Don’t leave me."
"I can't stay... I'm sorry."
Ueda turned around and sprinted over the hill, his friends chased after him; Ueda jumped out over the hill and spread his wings, they caught the wind and it carried him up in the sky.
"UEDA!" Screamed Kame, "I love you! Don't leave me!"
Ueda heard Kame but he didn't turn around, instead he pushed himself higher up in the orange sky and further away from his friends and Tokyo; the wind blew in his face washing away his tears and worries and the sun's last waves warmed his body, this was where he belonged.
Away from all the humans thoughts, no worries, no fear, no pain; only him flying in the sky, being free.
He laughed as he pushed himself higher over the clouds and disappeared in the direction of the sun.
Kame was on his knees, watching Ueda disappear into the sun; he swore that he could hear Ueda laugh.
Kame's heart was heavy, he had told Ueda his true feelings but it was too late to be any good, and now Ueda was gone, maybe he was in a better place, he was gone... maybe forever.
"What do we do now?" Asked Maru, Kame stood up and looked at them, he said; "if this is what Ueda wanted...then so be it, maybe he'll come back one day; but until then we'll wait for him."
The others agreed and started walking down the hill, to their apartments, Kame looked once over his shoulder -hoping that he could see Ueda one last time; but Ueda had disappeared far from where Kame could see him.
"I love you Ueda, I don't care what or who you are; you're the only
one that I want, I'll wait for you.

Kame was sitting on the bench where KAT-TUN had sat when Ueda had shown them his secret, it was almost the same time too; the sun was slowly fading behind the mountains and was glowing up the sky in bright yellow and orange colors.
Kame had gotten the habit of coming here everyday, just to think, right? Or did he come here everyday to wait for Ueda?
He wasn't really sure, he still loved Ueda of all his heart; but as days passed by, it became more clear for Kame that Ueda might not be coming back.
Kame shakes his head, NO!! It was wrong! He shouldn't give up hope
yet, Ueda would come home one day, right?

Kame rested his head in his hands and sighted; "God, Ueda...I miss you
so much!"
"I missed you too, Kame."
Kame jumped up and in front of him stood Ueda with his beautiful white wings on his back; he looked as beautiful as always and nothing had changed, Kame ran over and hugged him tight.
"UEDA!"
Ueda smiled and patted him on the head, Kame yelled; "I missed you so
much!"
"How long was I gone?"
"For over two weeks, I was lonely without you."
"You know, you could have caught a cold by sitting out here every day."
"You knew? How?"
"I came here a couple of times; I just wanted to make sure that you were okay."
"So you've been here the whole time?"
"Mostly...sorry for leaving, I just needed some time to think and be myself; sorry for leaving you for such a long time."
"I forgive you! I need to tell you this though: I don't care who or what you are, what the doctors did to you was horrible, I could never forgive them, but Ueda? I love you."
Ueda smiled, "I love you too."
A gentle breeze blew Ueda's hair around and he looked up in the sky, he grinned and asked; "I know you don't like to fly Kame, but please forgive me this time."
"What are you talking about-AAAHHHHH!!!!"
Ueda caught Kame's hand and sprinted towards the peek of the hill, he threw Kame over the edge and jumped out after him; Kame screamed in horror as he fell through the air.
As he was only few meters from the ground, Ueda suddenly appeared under him.
He spread his wings so Kame landed on his back, safe between his wings and before Kame had time to catch his breath Ueda accelerated and lurched himself in a spiral towards the open sky, his powerful wings flapped and sent them even higher and faster towards heaven.
Kame was sitting on Ueda's back and had a tight grip on his shirt; he had closed his eyes and tried not to fall off.
He suddenly felt the wind slow down to a pleasant breeze and he carefully opened his eyes as Ueda said; "open your eyes."
Kame looked around and gasped by the view, they were high up in the sky and was surrounded by the beautiful bright colors; he looked down and looked amazed as Tokyo only looked like a small city for dolls.
Ueda looked behind him at Kame and asked, "What do you think?"
"It's beautiful," whispered Kame, "glad you like it;" replied Ueda.
"I'm not feeling scared or anything, it's actually quiet fun!"
"Really? You haven't seen the best yet!"
"You wouldn't..." Threatened Kame, Ueda laughed and yelled; "hold on tight!"
He accelerated into top speed in a matter of seconds and flew upwards until Kame thought they would reach the outer space, Ueda then folded his wings tight into his body and they started falling like a rocket towards earth; Kame screamed by surprise and his grip tightened on Ueda's shirt.
They reached a huge waterfall close to Mount Fuji and was aiming strait at it, Kame pointed and Ueda replied; "I promise I won't drop you!"
"Well, that's comforting!" Yelled Kame sarcastically, Ueda laughed and flew strait for the waterfall; a matter of seconds before they hit the water Ueda spread out his wings in their full length and flew upwards, as they went up the waterfall Kame could see his own reflection in the water.
They flew up over and upwards towards the sky but this time Ueda only flew halfway and aimed at a big river flowing between two big cliffs, he flew upwards before be dropped down again and increased their speed; Kame realized what Ueda was about to do.
Ueda spun around once before folding his wings into his body and dived between the cliffs, he turned a split second before they hit the walls of the cliffs and Kame was holding on the best he could.
Ueda wouldn't slow down and made circles and spun around several times after each other and other crazy stuff.
Finally he slowed down and they reached the surface of the river down between the two cliffs, Ueda touched the water with his hand and guided Kame to do the same; the water was freezing cold but refreshing at the same time, Ueda laughed as he saw Kame's face that looked like a little baby seeing the first snow.
"How was it?"
"Please don't do it again without my permission."
"Yes, sir!"
Ueda spread his wings one last time before they flew up towards Tokyo.
They reached the park just after midnight, amazingly the sun was still there; they were only a few meters from the ground when- BANG!
Ueda felt something hit him in the chest and he started to fall towards the ground, he tried desperately to fly up but his wings were numb, Kame screamed and tried to hold on to Ueda's back, but they were going too fast and Ueda was spinning in circles.
Kame was thrown off Ueda's back but luckily he was close enough to the ground so he didn't break any bones; it took him several seconds to focus and look around to see what had happened.
After Kame has fallen off Ueda had landed heavy on the ground, he groaned in pain and tried to stand up but his legs were giving out, they were going numb too; he pulled out the needle in his chest and threw it far away, he looked around for Kame,
"Kame?!"
Kame stood up with shaky legs and said, "I'm okay!"
Ueda tried to stand up but suddenly out of nowhere several guys appeared and pinned Ueda to the ground, Ueda cried out as one of the guys ripped out one of his feathers.
"Stop!" Yelled Kame, "You’re hurting him!"
A man ran over and grabbed Kame so he couldn't run away.
The others brought out some robes and wrapped them around Ueda, he cried out when they tied them too tight around his wings; but he couldn't do anything, he was on his knees and he was almost paralyzed.
"Leave him alone! You're hurting him! Let him go, you bastards!"
Yelled Kame.
Suddenly a voice was heard, "nice to meet you again, experiment 957."
Ueda looked up with wide eyes, the doctor was back, and he was grinning with victory; "it's been a while, but I must say that I hadn't expected to find you in this place again."
He looked over at Kame and pointed at his swollen noise, "thanks for the warm greetings last time."
"Apparently I didn't hit hard enough," mumbled Kame
The doctor turned towards Ueda again and lifted his head so he could see his face.
"You're coming with me, I don't care if you like it or not; see, I'm used to get what I want, and so you better do as I say."
Ueda spat him in the face, "never!"
The doctor hit him hard in the face so he started to bleed, "UEDA!" Cried Kame.
"Take him away," said the doctor and left, the guys lifted Ueda up and carried him away; Ueda tried to get free but the medicine he was injected with made him tired and his vision was clouded.
“Ueda!” Kame tried to get out of the guys grip, but was unsuccessful.
"No! Don't come, Kame! Stay away! It's a place where you don't want to be, stay away! I love you, Kame! I love you!"
The guy that was holding Kame hit him in the head and as he fell to the ground, the last thing Kame heard was Ueda's scream.

Kame woke up in Jin's bed the next day, he looked confused at his friends; he suddenly remembered what had happened the day before and he jumped up, "Ueda!!!"
Maru gently pushed Kame down in the bed again, "we were worried about you, you didn't come home so we went out looking for you; we found you unconscious on the ground, what happened?"
"He was there! Ueda came back!"
"What?"
"I saw him, he finally came back! He took me out flying, it was amazing!"
"What happened?"
Kame's face turned pale, "the doctor! The doctor from before! He came and injected Ueda with something and took him away; I tried to stop them, but I couldn't do anything!"
"Where are they now?" Asked Koki.
Junno said, "Probably at the EHR (Experimental Human Research) Centre."
"We need to rescue him! We need to help him!" Yelled Kame, Maru took his hand; "first you need to get better, you were outside for too long and caught a small cold."
"But after, will you promise to help me save Ueda?"
"Of Course!"

Ueda slowly opened his eyes, he still felt dizzy from the medicine; he looked around and saw he was strapped down to a big table, around him was big scary instruments and other doctors was walking around him taking notes, luckily his wings had disappeared so they couldn’t see them.
A doctor in his mid fifties came into the room and smiled, "I see that you're awake, good. You probably don't remember me, it's been a long time; my name is Dr. Tamaho."
Ueda turned his head in the opposite direction, "why should I care?"
"Because I am the one, who helped make you, who you are."
Ueda looked shocked at the old man, he couldn't remember anything; "what are you going to do with me?"
"We're going to make a few small tests, but they aren't going to be pleasant."
Ueda pulled in the straps and tried to get free, the straps were too tight and they didn't budge.
"Let me go!"
The doctor smiled, "I'm afraid that we can't; you belong to us, remember?"
The doctor turned around to a small table with instruments on it, he took up what looked like a remote, it had the red button which clearly indicated trouble.
The doctor turned to Ueda again and said, "you've probably noticed the straps around your wrists, ankles, neck, chest and head-"
Ueda looked down, on the straps were small black circles which indicated something bad would happen.
The doctor continued, "-they are connected with this remote, whenever I press this button-"
He pressed the button and electricity jolted through Ueda's body, Ueda screamed in pain.
The doctor laughed, "-Electricity will run through your body and cause great torture.”
“Y-You're sick in t-the head." Hissed Ueda through his teeth, Dr. Tamaho let go and Ueda gasped in relief that the pain was over.
"What do you want?" Asked Ueda with a sore throat, his head had gone all fuzzy and it was hard for him to think.
Dr. Tamaho smiled; “show me your wings."
"I can't! I can only show them at night!"
"Then you better learn how to, before you die!" Tamaho pressed the button again and electricity ran through Ueda's body; he screamed the top of his lungs, and prayed to God that the pain would end.

Kame jumped up in the bed, he was sweaty and his heart was raising, Maru opened the door and asked if he was okay; "did you hear that?" Asked Kame.
"Hear what?" Asked Maru.
"I heard someone scream!"
"It was probably just a dream."
Kame looked around, "where are the others?"
"They went to go looking for Ueda, get some rest; later today you'll be able to help searching too."
Kame nodded and fell asleep quickly; Maru slowly closed the door and went to the living room, where he was watching TV.
He had heard the screaming too but he didn't want to tell Kame, he would get too worried.

"AAARRRGGGHHHH!!!"
Ueda screamed as Dr. Tamaho pulled out another one of his feathers.
Ueda had finally given up and had pushed himself to show his wings, now, he was locked into a dark room with no windows or furniture’s, he was tied up with chains and his wings had been spread out and tied too, he could barely touch the ground.
Around them on the ground laid many of Ueda's white feathers, another one joined them.
"It doesn't matter how many I pull out, they'll grow out again, but the pain is the same...how is it? Is it human? Is it bearable?."
He took a hard grip around Ueda's feathers and yanked them out, Ueda screamed out in pain; blood flooded out and colored the floor red.
Ueda's eyes rolled back in his skull, he was on the brick of losing his mind.
Someone save me! Please!

Several days had passed since KAT-TUN had started to search for Ueda, but they were out of luck; no one had seen him and the workers at the EHR Centre didn't want to talk with them, unless they had a warrant from the police.
Kame was going crazy, he had no clue on where or what was happening to Ueda; he felt a heavy burden in his heart, and every hour he felt like he failed to keep some sort of promise.
Ueda, wait for me...I'll find you, I promise...love you!

"W-Where am I? W-What happened? It hurts... please...somebody! Help me...it hurts, m-make it stop...I can't take it. Kame?!? Where are you? P-Please help me; don't leave m-me here! I love you! Kame...? It's so dark...someone! Please save me! Please..."

After a week of searching and informing the police, they finally got a tip on where Ueda was; they got the warrant which said that they could search everywhere in the EHR Centre, when Kame got the news he rushed to the big facility with his friends.
They searched for hours but found nothing; they finally got to the end of the facility and were shocked to see it.
There were big surgery labs with huge machines that they've never seen before; there were also small cells that looked like those in prison.
When they came to the last operating room, Kame gasped and backed up; in the middle of the room was a big table with straps on and around it, tables filled with equipment.
But the most shocking thing was that there were bloody feathers all over the floor.
Pictures were hanging on a wall which showed an x-ray; it was a picture of a humans skeleton; what also was shocking that this person had extra bones growing out of his back, they was formed like...wings?
Kame saw a note that said "Cell 957."
Kame ran to the cells where supposedly Ueda was kept, "955...956...957!"
Kame pushed open the door, a wave of air hit him in the face; it smelled like sweat and blood, he waited a few seconds for his eyes to adapt to the darkness so he could see into the cell, he gasped.
Ueda was chained in the middle of the room, his arms and wings were stretched out and held with chains; Ueda was dripping with sweat, he had several bruises and cuts all over his body and his beautiful white wings was ripped and torn into a bloody mess.
"UEDA!!!"
Kame ran over to Ueda, he gently touched Ueda's neck to see if there was a pulse, luckily he could feel it very faint; he struggled with opening the chains but finally succeeded, Ueda collapsed under his own weight but Kame caught him as his body fell
deadly-heavy to the ground.
Kame laid Ueda gentle in his lap; he strokes a piece of hair off his sweaty forehead.
Kame gently touched Ueda's wings; Ueda gasped and opened his eyes.
He looked with wide eyes at Kame; he looked like a little boy where somebody has taken his teddy bear.
"Ueda..." Whispered Kame, Ueda opened his mouth and tried to say something but nothing came out; Kame whispered, "It’s okay now...you're safe."
Ueda starred at Kame, his chest rose and fell quickly; he raised his hand and placed it on Kame's chest, Kame nodded and took his hand.
"I love you, Ueda; I'm sorry that I didn't come sooner, I’m so sorry..."

The others found Kame and Ueda and they were sent to the nearest hospital, but before they came Ueda had hidden his wings so the doctors couldn't see them.
After a long day’s sleep KAT-TUN came to visit him, Ueda smiled and sat up in the bed.
"Hey, mina."
"How are you?" Asked Maru, Ueda smiled; "I'm better."
Kame went over by Ueda's side and took his hands, "how about...?"
"They are healing, it just takes a while."
"What about flying?"
"I will be able to in a couple of days."
"COOL!!!!! Can I try flying too? Kame did! Please Ueda?!?" Junno jumped up and down.
"Of course."
"YAY!!!!"
Everyone laughed and enjoyed themselves for the rest of the day.
Kame kept holding Ueda’s hand and no one said anything about it.
Him and Ueda had already exchanged their love to each other, their friends new about it and respected them.
Right now, the only thing in their minds was for Ueda to get better; so the normal days could return.
Well, sort of normal days, Junno still needed to get a ‘ride’ from Ueda; the others probably wanted one too.
Ueda laughed to himself as he watched his friends talk, he was glad it was all over. He still had his wings, but his friends would help him get used to them. Besides, they weren’t so bad to have, when your friends were around.
