John really, really should have realized what he was in for as soon as the words left his mouth. I'll give him a pass because he was asleep, but really.
This is the only Sherlock fic I've read. I'm not a fan- by which I mean not that I don't like the show, but that I've never seen it; my only previous exposure to these characters was through gifsets on tumblr- but after scrolling past it a few times I thought ah, what the hell, I like your writing, why not?
I loved it. I couldn't stop laughing. My total unfamiliarity with the show didn't seem to be an issue because you did a marvelous job of characterization, writing them both with wonderful detail so that they came across as complete people- I didn't have any background knowledge to fill in the gaps, but that didn't matter because the story can stand on its own. And it's delightful. Now trying to remember which of my friends belong to this fandom so I can recommend it to them.
Aw, thanks! This is the sort of fic you can follow without much canon info, luckily. :) The canon is very flashy and pretty and fun to watch, if it's also got tons of faily moments (and the casefiles are almost all shit), and the fandom can be...something, but I'm having a ton of fun.

1) Can I make more dick jokes?
2) If yes, keep writing.
3) If no, you aren't thinking hard enough.
