I love J K Rowling

Not only is it her fault that I have an LJ and have all the wonderful friends around the world, but she's now donated £ 10 million to a new research facility and MS clinic.  I only know that she was very happy with the proposal (orwhatchamcalit), so now I'mm off to try and find out more.  At least they're going to focus on regeneration.

And I had a ( Read more... )

I'm so glad you met the right kind of people today and that you're going to have the tests you wanted. Honestly - what you've been through - it's not necessary.

JKR is amazing. So much good will come from that donation. And I hope some of it will directly benefit you.

*hugs I'm glad to see a smiley face on your journal today.

Thanks, Mary! Today has really been awesome. I'm sitting here, grinning from ear to ear, just thinking about my day. Not only is it the second day with glorious fall weather (sunshine! Too late for the farmers, but I'm happy to dry up a bit), but I had a good chat with the hospital, had an awesome healing session with my mum and have such a wonderful feeling in the core of my being that I'm finally accepting who I am... I've had some great healing sessions these last days (me being the healer) - helped my neighbour's back greatly, helped mum's eyes and general well-being, and now Goddessita doesn't need glasses anymore. And I'm on a high because of the totally wonderful feeling I get when I channel the divine energy. It's tingling and buzzing and feels so good. And I'm listening to guidance - healing my neighbours back wasn't my choice, I was told and just had to. And someone popped my head into the divine socket - at least that's what it felt like. I feel so blessed it's unreal, but most of all I have a wonderful feeling of ( ... )

I love that healing is flowing through you and out to others as well. "Physician heal thyself" is so true - by doing good for someone else you're doing yourself good.

I'm so glad you've seen the sun - a cold, dark summer is the worst. Hopefully the weather patterns have changed for good.

That's exactly what Chunyi Lin (Spring Forest Qigong) says - the best way to recieve healing is to give healing. He has some wonderfully simple yet very effective healing methods, that have been of great help for me.

Did you get any sun this summer?

That's a fantastic donation and I'm sure a lot of good will come from having that sort of money thrown at research and other areas. Good to hear you had a very positive experience with the MS nurse and hospital. If only everywhere was like that all the time!

Well done to the medical people for listening and taking note!

And to JKR, too. I have a love-hate relationship with her books, but she really does do good with the results.

Yes, this was an experience on the opposite end of the scale. Very positive.

I love HP and Potterverse, but can see why not all has it the same way. She's really one of those wealthy people who knows how to do something with her fortune. And she has a special urge to do something with MS, of course.

Ah, fantastic. I was upset for you when I read that previous entry.

Thank you! I usually don't stay down for long, but I'm totally knocked out each time it happens. Now I just hope that the MRI-angio will show something...

It is wonderful to have you so positive, despite past experience. I thought JKR's donation was very appropriate, especially now that she is as old as her Mum was when she lost her fight with MS.

May you have wonderful sunlit days and years.

Thank you, Kate! *hugs* I really like how JKR is using her rather abundant amount of cash to make a real difference, hopfully making sure that nobody else will have to go through what she did.
