I just posted about people overcharging people for paypal fees on the pullip community. I might get flamed by someone but I think its unfair. I hope i don't end up putting my foot in my mouth.

but anyone who buys stuff (especially doll stuff!) using paypal should read it.

I think it's good you said something. I don't think the majority of people over-charge but I wanted to say something recently cept I didn't have the guts to stir the pot. XD

You might get flamed, I've no idea. You make a valid point, I think, and everyone should be aware of it. Even if some people are going to get really defensive.

I know that I wanted to buy a stock outfit a while ago and I got charged the price of half the doll-- I'd offered around 40% of the doll (not including shipping), which I thought was more than fair.

I kinda was like "..." when the price they quoted was the cost of half the doll -- with shipping. So more than half the value of the doll.

I'm chicken though so I didn't say anything, I just didn't buy it. XD

Oops, I forgot to mention I got charged so much because they added 5% fees and I think extra on shipping, too.

sounds like she indeed was trying to make more profits, and i think 40% of the dolls price is way too much to pay for a stock outfit so she should've been happy with that much.

hopefully not buying it made her rethink the price. i really hope i don't get flamed but since the whole community is up in arms about other problems this might've not been the best time to say something?

Wow :B I didn't realize that people can swindle with the paypal charges like that. Think God I'd never used paypal to buy stuff D:

I don't know if some people swindle on purpose. I think they don't know what the fees actually are and just charge what everyone else is charging.

It's just good to know how much really are fees in general.

As a side note, you caused quite a stir with that post. XD

i expected it to be a stir, but not THAT big of one. i was telling my sister that next time i think of doing something like that she needs to stop me lol. it was neccesary but it took quite a bit back and forth. its just now starting to slow down.

I can't believe how many posts it got in like 6 hours! Yeesh!

I think it was brave of you to do it! It'd be hard to just stand up and say that and potentially make a lot of people mad. But you have good convictions to do it!

I know I wouldn't be able to stand it for long because conflict stresses me out. I began replying to a person who quoted me but then I thought it wasn't worth it and deleted my replies. XD

I hope it slows down but I'm glad there aren't many arguments and most people seem quite sensible.
