Muslims,,,,

Do any of you out there ever wistness to Muslim's? For me it's the hardest religion I have come across that is out there. I talked to someone (who is Muslim) for hours and seemed to get no where at all. Someone told me just to end the conversation, but I am extremely stubborn and was determined to "have the last word"... So I kept speaking the truth ( Read more... )

Hello, just reading some random jouranls:

I've had a very tiny amount of training in witnessing to muslims and even less actual experience, but, from the people who dedicate their lives to reaching muslims, this is what they say:

read the Qu'ran - use their holy book to show them how Jesus can be the Messiah.

lots and lots and lots of patience - a Muslim converting to Christianity is about the same as if you were to convert to Hinduism. Relationships are priority - they need to see it in your life, that you care for and love them - simply quoting scripture probably won't be very effective.

I know missionaries who have worked among the Islamic people for years - and they know that witnessing to muslims requires an investment in that person's life.

I have a friend who has a website about this topic up somewhere - if you'd like I'll dig around and see if I can find it for you.

Girl, you need to get a couple of books about Islam by brothers Ergun and Emir Khan. They came out from Islam. I haven't read them myself but I want to in the not to distant future.

I pray he will see his need for the True and Living God!!

Yeah I am sure I am not the best person to talk to when it comes to all of that. But it was him that kept asking the questions and all and it is my sincere desire for Him to see that He must be born again... Whether I can say all the right things or not!!!

I think a lot of it has to do with them knowing that they could be killed for converting to Christianity. We're the infidels remember =/

I've talked (online) to more of them than I can count! Seems that females always get "Arab guys" trying to chat online, and so for a while (some years ago) I dealt with them by immediately saying something about me being a Christian, etc and got the conversation onto talking about Jesus for as long as they wished to chat with me! I thought, well if they can take the liberty to start talking to *me*, then why can't I share my faith with them ( ... )

Wow,Rach! What you said really hit home! Thanks so much for sharing all of that with me!! I to share the scripture " I am the way,the truth and the life..."
I have yet to hear from him again and I may never again speak to him but I am thankful to the Lord that He allowed me to talk to him for awhile that night. Even if it seems like I really may have not gotten anywhere much you are so right.... His word will not return to Him void....

Love you!
