I like them both. The top one is thought provoking and unusual in a good way. The bottom one well *is cuted out* :)

Oh while I'm here, can you please check my photos that I took on facebook. They are very washed out and we can't work out why. They were taken on fully automatic settings - no manual over-ride. If I take a photo using flash inside they are fine, but these are just flat. Thank you :*

Okay just uploaded some scenes on flickr - you're on there as family so you will be able to see them. The first 12 photos of the water, green etc...

I absolutely adore the first pic. It is kinda surreal somehow...the street looks so abandoned and I keep wondering why there is just one guy walking on a circle. (He probably didn't but it just looks like it).

The lion is of course beautiful but I keep looking at pic #1 and keep thinking off stories. Love it.

:D

It was a lucky shot (but then, for the majority of times - especially street photography - when aren't they?). But I have to say that it is one of my fave photos. And the slightly desaturated look is a style I like and works well with the photo at least.

I think the difference is that the lion shot is more of a record shot, whereas the other is more of a created shot. Maybe.

Too bad you didn't win. But those are both excellent photos. The lion one remains one of my favourite photos ever. And the first is really original. I never would have thought of that (and I'm a little jealous)

But yay! :D

Thanks! :D

The first shot was an evening in town that my photo club did, where we all met up and then went our separate ways (to meet at a pub later). It was a lucky shot to get :)
