I haven't posted much lately-
So, follicles are the little pockets the ovary produces that have the seeds of eggs in them (which eventually mature into the eggs themselves). Well, several weeks ago, one of my follicles turned out to have Estrogen in it, instead of an egg. This is pretty normal. Happens in one of every so many follicles produced. But what it meant is, just when they were giving me all kinds of drugs to tamp down all the estrogen in my system, one of the follicles starts pouring estrogen! Well, the only way to stop it from doing that was to give me the trigger injection and eject ALL the follicles, which means we have to start over. A whole 'nother month! So I'm starting the Lupron again, got my period Again, and am RE-starting the whole "getting poked in the ovaries" phase. So just in case you were wondering if there was news to report- the answer is "Nope! You've heard all these stages already." They even had to do the drug/infections disease panel again! Sheesh.
