You didn't get to see my baby laptop that I got for Christmas - I spent a couple hours swearing at it at the Haven the day I got it. It's a MSI Wind - about the same price as the EEE PC but with Windows.

Those USB ports are also good for such banal things as hooking up a full-size keyboard and mouse.

Also, I set up our handheld GPS to work with Microsoft streets and trips on the netbook to be a navigation station for in the car. Then I can play FreeCell while Fergus drives, and we still don't get lost! :) The Element has an aux input jack so I set the thing up to output through that jack through the whole car stereo... it makes those navigation instructions VERY interesting.

What a smarty-pants! I had't thought of GPS on the mini... When you play the GPS through the car sterio, are the directions Super loud?

They're only super loud if the car volume is too high. The problem is we can't use the _radio_ at the same time.

But I assume we could put audible on it or put music on a thumb drive and play on it.
