Another possible (much more arcane, and potentially expensive, ergo laregly quixotic for the time-being) collection to undertake: Belle Kogan-designed Gypsy Trail Hostess Ware pieces from Red Wing Pottery. Hey- I know it's not Red Wing, but you seemed interested in my fire king. The color is "peach lustre" and I have a pretty awesome sugar bowl with your name on it. It will never match anything in our kitchen, now that I've settled into colors and we inherited some china :)

I saw a whole (coffee service?) set of tableware with the peach lustre glaze at Treasures on Saturday. I don't think it's something I'd want in large volumes, but I'm hard pressed to pass up a cool piece or two (like the sugar bowl!).

Yeah, it's a really unique color, which is why I loved it so much. But it gets overwhelming in large numbers. Almost unnerving.
