I'm on season three of Six Feet Under and I do love it quite a bit. Someone spoiled the end for me at a party once, but I still plan on watching the whole series.
Sorry about spoiling the Lisa thing for you, too! I watched the whole series on DVD after the original air-dates, so I knew how the series ended as well. (Thanks for indulging my lack of patience, HBO.com). The finale is very well-done, though -- questionable "ageing make-up" aside.
I totally need to inter-library loan X-Files. A friend loaned me the last two seasons (with Robert Patrick and Annabeth Gish) when MaryAlice was in the hospital two winters ago, but I haven't had a fix in the meantime.
I loved it, but am not in love with it ;-) Like I mentioned to stalkingsilence, the bad ageing make-up was a little off-putting. Plus, I'm an ambiguity-lover, so the Sopranos finale was much more my cup of tea.
Ahh, Sein und Zeit and Closure are among my favorite X-Files eps, too! I can't picture that scene NOT featuring the Moby song, simply because it was so perfect, and I can't watch it without crying. (This may be fresher in my memory than in yours, or most people's, being that I only watched the series for the first time several months ago.)
This post, and comments, remind me of a conversation I had with Girl Roommate recently- what did you think of the last two seasons of The X-Files? I liked them (and Doggett and Reyes) a lot more than I'd expected I would, but it felt like a different show.
I think Around The Horn is funny. I make weird observation abt people instead of listening to what they're saying. I think this stems from the fact that I grew up watching the Nightly News so I was watching it way before I could figure out what was going on. Like I remember Watergate. Anyhoo.... yeah. News shows are fun too, lol.
