I watched
Queer as Folk (the U.S. version) in its entirety, via Netflix, when I was pregnant with Stuart. Cullen tried to tolerate it. He really did. And it's not that he found the, well, near-constant gay sex scenes off-putting -- he just thought the whole show was beyond-the-pale-absurd. Which it is. (I should mention that the ridiculousness is heightened considerably when you're cycling through these über-dramatic storylines rapidly rather than having a week's break between episodes -- as we would have if watching them when they originally aired). So silly. So good.
Riget (The Kingdom)/Riget II
Please see this mini-series (and its sequel). Yes, it's Danish. Yes, the ever-divisive
Lars Von Trier is behind it. Don't try to argue. You will love it -- I promise. Riget is almost as funny, disturbing and poignant as Twin Peaks, and has the same wry, somewhat detached sensibility. "Danskjävlar!"

Best kiss? I'm drawing a blank. As Cullen can attest, any sort of "serious romance" angle in a program kind of makes me yawn. Am I a
Jater or a Skater? Answer: no.
Hence my response to the next item ...
