For those of you who don't know, here is Secretariat.Oh, Writer's Block. Where do I even begin to deconstruct this? The spurious use of the term "athlete"?

Heh, nothing degrading about it. We take this shit serious. And there is so much underlying Jungian-isms in regards to the girl-love-horse thing....well....I was shocked LJ actually posted that. ;)

Ha! Love it. (Of course, as a former English major and current Humanities teacher, you only have to mention Jung to win my affection!)

I'm sure there's a dissertation in the offing ...
