Upbeat music? Well, I can try... :-)

"Sweetness" by Jimmy Eat World. (There are two versions, and which is better is purely a matter of personal taste)
"Jude Law and A Semester Abroad" by Brand New
"Sleep Now In the Fire" by Rage Against the Machine
"No Brakes" by The Offspring (The lyrics aren't necessarily upbeat, but the music is good.)
"Walk of Life" by Dire Straits
"Punk Rock Princess" by Something Corporate
"Weapon" by Matthew Good
"Pain" by Four Star Mary Dingos Ate My Baby (Willow might be able to hook you up with some of their music)

I agree with Joan on her choices of music, also you can never go wrong with some booty songs to get you energized
