we are not super traditional. we would rather go with a more "classic" song rather than a currect popular top 40-esque song.
- is it going to be a dance-dance (waltz, etc), or just a quiet moment for you two? hm... i'm not quite sure what you mean. we will be dancing in front of everyone... so i dont think it will be a quite moment for the 2 of us (although that does sound nice). but i'm not much of a dancer (he's a lot better than me) so we're looking for something relatively simple. i'm hoping to avoid what i call "the 8th grade slow dance" where we sort of sway and try not to make too much eye contact or physical contact.
There's always "Unchained Melody", which likely would have been what I chose, had L&I danced...it's a great 8th grade slowdance song. :) (or 'My Prayer' by the Platters, or the like)
i'll have to look into those! thanks for the suggestions! i wish that my computer at work was more condusive to downloading music. do you know of anywhere that i can go online to simply *listen* to songs... not download them?
oh that sounds REALLY promising! i need to find a way to listen to it. do you know of anywhere to listen to music online without downloading it. my work computer will not allow me to download anything.
this is a MOST EXCELLENT suggestion. it is currently in the lead for most-likely-song-we-will-dance-to. you rock! now i just need to find a way to listen to the WHOLE song. thanks!
I don’t get many things right the first time In fact, I am told that a lot Now I know all the wrong turns, the stumbles and falls Brought me here
And where was I before the day That I first saw your lovely face? Now I see it everyday And I know
That I am I am I am The luckiest
What if I’d been born fifty years before you In a house on a street where you lived? Maybe I’d be outside as you passed on your bike Would I know?
And in a white sea of eyes I see one pair that I recognize And I know
That I am I am I am The luckiest
I love you more than I have ever found a way to say to you
Next door there’s an old man who lived to his nineties And one day passed away in his sleep And his wife; she stayed for a couple of days And passed away
I’m sorry, I know that’s a strange way to tell you that I know we belong That I know

we both like country. but we want to go with more of a "classic" rather than a current popular song.
the wedding is going to be about 110 people.
