I'm heading to Kirksville tomorrow to work at Taiwan at Truman for 5 weeks. It should be a lot of fun so I'm really looking forward to it. So on this program there are 17-18 year old girls coming over to learn English. I'm basically helping with everything - from waking them up to helping in the classroom. ooh, Taiwan at Truman sounds pretty cool! It'll keep you occupied, that's for sure!

I know exactly how you feel about "entry level" positions... so dumb. Your internship sounds promising, I hope everything works out for you!

You could try teaching at the college level in the States... people usually seem to be more interested in what they're learning in college as opposed to high school. Or you could become a teacher in Germany maybe? I do think you should try out teaching if you get the chance... at least for a year or two. It's completely different than how I'd expected it to be, in a good way.

Good luck with the GRE and grad school/grad programs. Things will work out in the end, just wait! :)

yeah..I'm sure I'll figure things out. I have many interests which makes it hard to choose one. I hope I enjoy teaching if I get the position in Germany. I think it will be challenging since you have to think of creative ways to bring your subject across so the kids understand it. So it should be an interesting time.
