Friday, I made the three hour trek to TAMU to see the boy for the first time since he'd moved into the dorm. The past week had been one of training and memorization and general learning that all Fish (incoming freshmen members of the Aggie Corps of Cadets) are the lowest form of low. Okay..I are confused. If you ordered and payed for the books at the campus bookstore last month...then Why the fuck did he have to pay for them again THIs month? Don't call...go DOWN there receipts/order slips [I'm assuming they had the intelligence to give you a sheet with all the books they ordered listed with prices] in hand and demand a freaking credit. At least that way you don't have to shell out even more for the following sememster's books, since when he's done with the classes at the end of the sememster he can sell them back. Seriously someone needs a short sharp kick to the head with a steel toe boot for that one. speaks a disgruntled bookstore customer who's favorite *up til recently* made a really BAD habit out of losing orders/reserves for books and therefore either not getting them in or selling them out from under me] I reserved/ordered anywhere from 1 to 3 months AHEAD of time. Needless to say they don't get my business anymore. At least til I get over my mad [and I've BEEN pissed/fuming about it, for a good ( ... )

It's not quite that straight-forward. When the kid registered for classes, etc., during the new student orientation two day meeting we had to attend, the bookstore had us fill out the paperwork for the books. Basically what happens is you fill out the paperwork with the kid's name, student ID number, contact info, etc., and tell them whether you want new or used books, workbooks, etc. And then you give them your credit card number. Then, once registration is finalized, they pull the books and charge your card. Well, some idiot lost all the paperwork and, given the time constraints the kids in the Corps have, the boy had one timeslot in which to go get his books. So he had to use his debit card ( ... )
