To be honest, I watched Thundercats as a kid, and I think even then I was super-skeptical of things on the show. It just didn't make much sense to me. So, this ( Read more... )

holy crap! i did not really like or watch much of the Thundercats, but your synopsis had me on the floor. kids cartoons: yes. they're all like that. i think they should make a movie of thundar the barbarian. that did make sense, in a bizarre, post-apocalyptic way. it was actually a few years before my time but fm found a pirated dvd at a convention and made me watch the whole series and it is priceless.

now, deconstruct other classic cartoons so i can laugh some more. like, what's up with the smurfs?

Ha, we often joke about Ookla the Mock at our house. "Are you mocking me Ookla?" Thundar the Barbarian is a total fav of mine, but I don't know that it would make the best live-action movie.

i didn't say it would be the best live action film, but it certainly could be entertainingly awful :P

I would enjoy the Ookla scenes especially! amanderpanderer July 24 2011, 20:53:18 UTC
It would be more fun than that Smurfs movie seems to be.
Why would they do that? Smurfs make no sense.

BTW, I'll see if I can deconstruct some Smurfs at some point. I post a lot when I'm grading in order to keep from throwing myself on broken glass.
