So Saturday morning I decided I should show Liz my college quotes, since I quote her all the time. XD; She loved my quotes, and she really seemed to like my LJ a lot in general

Ugh. That's good enough reason to be paranoid! It's bad enough that the person would judge you at all after falling out of contact, but it's even more disgusting that the person would be such a coward as to post that and not identify herself.
I have wondered why you've been so adamant about all the various locks (mainly because I wondered if it meant that if I met you IRL, that would mean that I'd get filtered at some point XD;), but it's definitely understandable. I know I really don't want anyone I know IRL-only (family, friends, whoever) to read my blog, because I don't know what they'd think of me then. **figures they'd all be creeped out by the h/c obsession.**
I'm glad the weekend's been good overall! X3 Yay planning to have a great week! ♥
Yeah. It's like, I can understand if you're going to say something like that to me over the Internet, but at the very least tell me who you are. Ugh.
Nope, hell will freeze over before I filter you. XD; I'm afraid of stepping on people's toes, too - I mean, when I get a bit ranty towards my roommates or something, that's going to be filtered, because I mean I don't want them to see that when it's just a ranty thing, and because I'm sure I do plenty of things that drive them crazy. *shrug* And even when I get out there to see you, that wouldn't change because it's not like you know the people I know IRL. If that makes sense. XD;
I'm sorry if this filtering business makes me sound icky, but it's like something that makes perfect sense to me but I find it hard to explain to others.
Yeah, I totally hear you on the h/c thing. People outside of "fandom" can be way judgmental about it.
**nodnod.** Perfectly understandable! Actually, I've done that very occasionally, when I get so fed up I just have to rant about someone. XD; **has about five different Friends Locks/Filters for such occasions.** Sometimes I just don't want certain people to read something I'm writing, especially if it's about someone they may know.
I'll never forget the time a girl from youth group saw me writing in my notebook and read aloud, "If I live, I live, and if I die, I die." And then commented something about how dark it was. LOL. I think she was reading my first draft of My Immortal? XD
that's really creepy that they would do that, and really annoying too. I can see where the paranoia comes from there, and it makes sense. It hink maybe in the end the only thing that will come of it is maybe she'll just end up getting one of her own rather than being weird about anything.
The only reason I started using the friendsonly lock was because some kid started messaging me on msn because he saw a picture on my lj, but then didn't have one himself. Then he asked me out and started screaming at me when I pointed out that he was this random creepy kid on the internet. ahahaa.
And then I also found out a friend's mom was reading my LJ, which creeped me out and was another reason to lock stuff more often. XD;
*nodnod* Yeah, that's sort of what I do too, and then I also like to lock things that might be ranty about people I know IRL, just because I'm afraid of stepping on toes.
