Upon Completing HIMYM Season 3

My dad and I just finished watching How I Met Your Mother Season 3.  As the credits rolled, I celebrated the show's awesomeness.

Where is Season 4? my dad asked as he turned off the TV.

Back in Louisville, I said.

He turned to me, and though I couldn't see his face in the total darkness of the room, I knew he was giving me a look of exasperation.

. . .is it his first time watching HiMYM? :O That. . .is unjustifiable. HIMYM is one of the best shows (I'm a sucker for nonlinear storytelling). And S3? So he's not even up to date on the Awesome that was S5? :O

'Scuse me while I go weep for the Awesome that is lost on parents. :C

(My Mum likes HIMYM to a certain extent - but when it's airing she watches that Secret Life of the American Teenager instead. I can't stand that show, tbh, and I don't get how she could want to watch that over HIMYM; but it's her fanchoice, so what're ya' gonna do, y'know?)

Ack - I feel ya'. My mum's an All My Children junkie, and thankfully that's the worst of it for her (she actually had me watching for a bit - 'til it all got too ridiculous for me (happened v.v. quickly), and being the angst junkie I am that's saying something). Can't say I've ever had a desire to watch Law & Order or any of the documentary-type shows on mysteries, though. The closest I've come is Criminal Minds (which I love; I'm such a fan for Morgan x Garcia <333).

Ha ha, I've never really gotten into many HBO/Showtime shows, either. The only one I really got hooked on was Dead Like Me (it's a crime that show was cancelled - a crime, I tell you!), but c'mon. It's Dead Like Me - how can you not love that show? It's almost a shame it was a Bryan Fuller show, though; 'cause Fuller's a genius, but his shows tend to only run 1-2 seasons (though I'm still blaming Pushing Daisies's end on the Already Been Cancelled network and not Fuller's show history, tyvm ( ... )
